"That’s why that reclaiming, learning, returning is such a critical part of how we build healthier movements. Because unresolved trauma brings a whole lot of drama into our movement spaces.” One of the most important steps toward healing from intergenerational trauma for people of color is acknowledging that it exists. This can involve exploring family history, identifying patterns of inherited behaviors and ideology, and recognizing their impacts. Healing is a process, not a destination. When individuals heal together with their community, youth thrive. A woman of color stands behind a man of color, her head lowered as she holds his shoulders in her hands. Text reads: We don’t just have historical and intergenerational trauma, we also have historical intergenerational wisdom, culture, and healing. —George Galvis, Co-founder and Executive Director, CURYJ

We are getting real history today and that teaching should always have a "HEALING SESSION" for the ones who get to hear and witness pictures of past event... Never leaving them with the Negative Emotional hurt for them to recover from this teaching and offer them as "PEOPLE TOGETHER" .... We together today can make sure our future Generations will be taught how these events were Healed from and made sure this kind of LIFE NEVER got done again by doing the Healing together....
