We've got offers out to some incredible cast members, and we're assembling a crew that's nothing short of extraordinary. One of the things I'm most proud of is our commitment to diversity and balance. We're ensuring that 50% of our crew is female. It's not just about numbers; it's about creating an environment where different perspectives are valued and celebrated. This diversity is going to make "Mothers" a richer, more authentic film. We're also dedicated to maintaining a healthy work-life balance for our team. That's why we're sticking to five-day shoot weeks. We believe that a well-rested crew is a creative crew, and this approach will help us bring our best to every single frame. Our goal with "Mothers" isn't just to make one film; it's to create something so compelling that it sells well, allowing us continue making films and grow the Utah film community. This is just the beginning of what we hope will be a long and exciting journey in the world of filmmaking. But we can't do it alone. Bullying is a societal psychosocial hazard, not just one we deal with in the workplace. I’ve been on the receiving end of as a kid and it’s shaped who I am today - closely guarded, and give nothing away. Compared to my experience social media has made it even harder to control because it’s easier to deliver anonymously or at least not to the victims face - one of the massive downsides to technology regrettably. To my network my challenge is this…..what are you doing in your sphere of influence / accountability / control to make safe spaces for your people to peacefully co-exist and know you have their back if bullying rears its ugly head?
