Proudly presenting the video we created at last month's Special Olympics Ontario Polar Plunge in Sarnia! A huge shoutout to Santiago Pinto, QAFP, Pinto Financial Group Inc. for sponsoring this heartwarming project. We had an absolute blast capturing the infectious positivity and joy at this fun-filled event. It's experiences like these that remind us of the incredible impact we can make when we come together for a great cause. We'd like to encourage other local businesses to join us in supporting wonderful initiatives like Special Olympics Sarnia and Special Olympics Ontario. Your involvement can truly make a difference! A heartfelt thank you to Torch Run Ontario and Sarnia Police Service for their support and collaboration on this memorable event and video. #FrameworksMedia #Videography #PromoVideo #OntarioVideographers #StorytellingVideo #VisualMarketing #CaptureTheMoment #ProfessionalVideography #PromotionalVideos #EventVideographer #OntarioBusiness #VisualStorytelling #SpecialOlympics #SpecialOlympicsOntario #SpecialOlympicsSarnia #PolarPlunge #PolarPlungeSarnia

I try not to comment on media du jour but I might actually be able to lend something helpful here. That said, full disclosure, I missed the opening ceremonies myself. I'm told it wasn't well organized. I also understand the resemblance to great art and iconography was unintentional. The video link I'm posting breaks down the whole thing very well. I do disagree with some of the conclusions. 1) French are gonna French. A bunch of high fashion FABULOUS is only to be expected. 2) To the video's point "how could they not know?": Quite easily, in fact. You never know how any show will hit an audience until it happens. You're simply too close. You try, but you never know until after it happens. 3) Should they have stopped when they figured it out? Depends on when this realization took place. But the closer to event day, the more impossible this is. It sounds like the train was well away from the station when it happened. 4) It was/is still an opportunity to spread the right message. "That was not our intention. We are not trying to insult anyone. But we do want to celebrate everyone. We invite all, especially those we inadvertently hurt, to join us in happy happy yadayadaya." 5) I don't think they'll be remembered the way he describes. But I do think we will remember this. For the record, I'm only trying to explain how. I have no strong opinion on this. It sounds like a show that had lots of problems and this was one of them. But artists do have a responsibility for the fidelity of thier message, and audiences also need to understand context.

Yesterday our Chief Executive, Sally Munday, spoke to BBC Five Live's Wake Up To Money about the economic benefit of investing in Olympic and Paralympic sport, as well as our investment approach. She said "The reality is for most of the sports we invest in is they are what you would describe as traditionally amateur sports, so they’re not professional, commercial sports. Some of them have commercial arms, but the majority rely massively on Government and Lottery money to enable them to put these programmes together that allow us to employ some of the best coaches and practitioners in the world to give British athletes the best support going into the Games. "We use the Games as a shop window, it’s a place for us to create demand commercially but also demand for people then wanting to participant in those sports. But we recognise the very reason we need public investment is because without it our athletes wouldn’t be able to achieve what they achieve on the world stage."
