What a performance on Friday night! Incredible to see Ireland set their stall out and make their mark in the opening game of the Six Nations. Outstanding effort from Joe McCarthy too, picking a well deserved Man Of The Match. It was clear that these guys understand their, 'why.' Why- the drive or motivation behind WHAT you do and HOW you do it. I know my fellow Recruiters will agree when I say that understanding your WHY is so important to a long and successful career in recruitment. I would also put it out there that the most successful recruiters won't base their why on financial remuneration, contrary to popular belief! #highperformance #recruitment #results

Sure Josh, take 3,000 photos and maybe we'll end up with one we're happy with 😉🤣 There's a saying, "laughter is the sunshine that drives winter from the face", and in NZ we also have the whakataukī (Māori proverb) "Te tiro atu to kanohi ki tairawhiti ana tera whiti te ra kite ataata ka hinga ki muri kia koe" which means "turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you." Despite being another overcast day in Auckland, there's no shortage of energy and spirit within the recruitment and staffing community. Awesome to have Josh McCole 🏳️🌈 and Khanh Pham in town this week for a heap of Bullhorn "ENGAGE-ments" before suiting up for our NZ Industry Awards night to acknowledge achievement and celebrate with our membership and partnership community, later this week. This is a people industry at its heart, with effective technology adoption and innovation a compelling enabler of better service, and stronger relationships. If you're in the recruitment industry and profession, our partnership community is a great source of insights into what's happening, what's new and what's ahead in the industry. The inauguration of the National Employment Technical Committee is underway at Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre. The mandate of the Committee includes to advise the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration, and Employment on employment related issues, leverage private sector for employment creation, resource mobilization and technical advice. In their respective keynote addresses, the Minister of Trade, Baboucarr O. Joof, and the Chairman of the Committee, Abdoulie Touray expressed unwavering commitment to the full implementation of the Policy ( 2022-2026). ''I also agree that the NETC must avoid the traditional "committee approach" of merely convening and discussing issues without taking concrete action. Together as a team we will be dedicated to transforming the NETC into a focused and action-oriented body that is committed to delivering tangible results. We will regularly monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of our strategies, adjusting as needed to ensure we are on track to achieve our objectives," Chairman Touray remarked. Hon. Minister Joof: ''I know the task ahead of us is enormous but I am very much convinced that the calibre of people assembled in the NETC under the stewardship of Mr. Abdoulie Touray, I have no doubt that we will together achieve our goal of subduing the two evils of unemployment and underemployment by delivering the employment ecosystem we truly want for our children and grandchildren." This is an ambitious Policy as it targets 150000 jobs in five years! More on CTWPG...

🌏 Exploring the Difference in Recruiting: United Kingdom vs. Australia, New South Wales 🌏 Having recently navigated recruitment landscapes in both the United Kingdom and New South Wales, Australia, I've observed some fascinating distinctions. Here's a quick comparison: 📌 Cultural Diversity: Both places have a mix of cultures, but they treat diversity and inclusion differently at work. Australia loves its mix of cultures, while the UK is more about fairness and equality. 📌 Employment Laws and Rules: Both places have strict rules for work, but the details can be different. Australia has the Fair Work Act that sets up how things work, while the UK has the Employment Rights Act and Equality Act, among others. 📌 Salaries and Perks: Money and benefits can be quite different. Australia usually pays more, but things can be pricier too. The UK often has a bigger package with things like pensions and healthcare. 📌 Hiring Process: How you get a job can change in each place. The UK often has a long and formal way with many interviews, while Australia, especially in New South Wales, can be more easygoing and care about how you fit in the team. 📌 Life and Work Balance: Australians love their work-life balance, with time off and flexible hours. The UK can be more old-school, sticking to regular hours and leave. 📌 Jobs Special: The UK is great in finance, tech, and services, while Australia, especially New South Wales, is known for mining and civil/construction. 📌 Map Matters: Australia is huge, which can make it tough to find people. The UK, being smaller, has more people packed together. Understanding these differences is key for hiring contractors in these places. Being open and able to change is key in knowing how each place works. #Recruitment #CoreTalent #UKvsAustralia #Construction #Civil #Contractors

The January 2024 Recruitment Insights Report indicates a mixed but hopeful situation in Australia's job market. While recruitment activities are rising, especially in cities, and some employers plan to increase staff, challenges in filling skilled positions persist. Small businesses are facing more recruitment issues compared to larger ones. Despite some difficulties, overall trends suggest a cautious optimism with gradual improvements, but also highlight the ongoing struggle in meeting staffing needs, particularly in higher-skilled roles. #LaborMarketInsights #JobGrowthAustralia #AustralianJobMarket TMR Recruitment You can read the report here: https://lnkd.in/gWCQ98Pb

📢 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐧-𝐄𝐔 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝! We at SKT CONSULTANTS have some crucial updates regarding the Critical Skills Employment Permit (CSEP) that you should be aware of! As of December 2023, the minimum salary eligibility for the CSEP was increased by Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, Neale Richmond TD, from €32,000 to €38,000. This was a significant jump to ensure that Ireland continues to attract highly skilled professionals. However, the threshold is set to rise again! From January 2025, the minimum salary requirement will increase further to €44,000. While the average salary increase in high-paying jobs is around 10%, this new hike is over 15%, making the criteria for obtaining a CSEP even more stringent. 📈 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐍𝐨𝐰? For 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬: This is the perfect time to apply for your CSEP! The current salary threshold is still €38,000, which is more attainable than the upcoming €44,000 requirement. For 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬: If you're considering hiring non-EU nationals, initiating the CSEP process now can be a strategic move.
