I am really tired of this kind of reporting. Tiny statistical differences hiding behind giant click-bait headlines. Burying countervaling data from the SAME SURVEY down in the article? And writing a whole article based on one survey finding? This is either a) really lazy or b) evidence of a corporate agenda by WSJ. #WFH #wsj #remotework https://lnkd.in/gxwJTCSn

Thanks, Nick Bloom, for bringing this forward. I too thought of flexibility as one of the top 3 driver, and I am actually quite happy to see the next layer of insights and discovery of flex work advantage by business leaders. Perhaps, this is a sign of evolution of thought for systemic and strategic change. #flexibleworking #workingfromhome
Stanford Professor | LinkedIn Top Voice In Remote Work | Co-Founder wfhresearch.com | Speaker on work from home
In the December WFHresearch.com report this was the most surprising finding. The top-3 benefits to businesses from working from home were: 1) Access remote customers 2) Reduce office costs 3) Allow owners to work on other jobs These pushed "Help recruit talent" into fourth place (I would have thought that would have been first). This shows the varied the benefits of a distributed business for both costs and revenues. If we run this survey again intrigued if there are other big benefits we should add? Survey of the Day According to Gallup: Out of the 71 million individuals (approx.) in the U.S. with jobs that can be performed from home, only 6% want to return to the office on a permanent basis. In other words, 94% of workers do not want to return to the office permanently. According to the same research, most workers feel that the only reason their employers want them to return to the office is to have "control over their time." - Market Briefs (Briefs Media, LLC) - credit to Market Briefs (Briefs Media, LLC)

💡 Our job market report has some surprising data on working from home! Almost everyone (93%) can do it sometimes, and half of them (50%) do it all the time! Do you think having a real office might not be necessary anymore? Or will evil managers force us back to the office? #SwissDevJobs #SwissDevReport #Switzerland #Statistics #SoftwareEngineering
