Join us on 7th February for our second networking breakfast of 2024.
We'll be at The Lansdowne Club and joined by Florence Brocklesby* of Bellevue Law, leading a discussion about regulators’ approaches to workplace culture and non-financial misconduct, and the implications for financial services and law firms, and those who work in them.
Stories of “toxic workplace culture” in financial services and law firms regularly hit the headlines, from allegations of serious sexual misconduct to more commonplace stories of bullying, exclusion and excessive working hours.
Recent witness evidence given to the Treasury Committee’s Sexism in the City inquiry has demonstrated that women are particularly impacted by these issues.
Regulators have been inundated with complaints of sexual misconduct since the birth of the #metoo movement, and are now looking to address workplace culture more widely.
Do these developments have the potential to create a step-change in professional services workplace culture, and if so how can women in M&A and their allies help drive those changes?
The discussion will be governed by Chatham House rules
