Folks, can you have both fast delivery and affordable rates in logistics? I mean, Faster Deliveries = Higher Costs, right? More fuel, overtime, and pressure on drivers. But here’s the thing: Are Shippers and Customers even asking for speed, or are we just assuming they want it? 🧐 Sure, everyone likes fast, but is it worth the price? Or is reliable supply chain and affordable service what truly matters? Sales teams, are you finding it harder to balance speed with affordability? Shippers and Customers, are you willing to pay more for faster deliveries? What’s your take? Can we find a balance, or are we fooling ourselves? ⬇️ #Logistics #Trucking #SupplyChain #Transport #Freight #InterstateTransport #RoadFreight #TransportServices #Linehaul #Procurement #3PL #Warehousing #Warehouse #FreightForwarder #FreightForwarding #TruckingNews #cargo #Import #Export #OceanFreight #SeaFreight #AirFreight #Australia

Do you know what a good freight forwarder is? As a freight forwarder in the field of air transportation, I would like to say that the nature of the transportation of goods is different in many times, so that the price or time is different. If the customer needs the goods are urgent, which it is used to solve a certain type of problem, the price is put in the second place, and the time is put in the first place. If the customer transport the goods are not urgent, which is care about the transportation cost, then the price should be in the first place, the time behind. If you can find out the needs of customers, after communication with customers to match the most suitable program, that is a good freight forwarder. Proair 5A products can meet the needs of different degrees of cargo. From AA-AD service, both have built-in overtime payouts. This means that if your goods arrive beyond the specified time, we will provide you with compensation, which is equivalent to buying an insurance for your goods so that can better protect the interests of customers. If you have air cargo need to transport, pls feel free to let me know. 📧Email : xylia@proair.cn 📱WhatsApp/CallWechat: +86 19196249814 🍉Xylia li Air freight solution provider near you 😉

Expecting to visit some excellent clients and partners in Japan 🇯🇵 next week. WELDON parcel boxes have been great helpful to tackle the "2024 problem," a term used in Japan to describe anticipated truck driver shortages when new overtime regulations go into effect 2024. The Japan government will launch a program to give points to shoppers who choose to have delivery parcels left outside their front doors in order to reduce the workload of delivery drivers. In June 2023 the government set a goal of halving the re-delivery rate, which then stood at 12% or so, to 6% by fiscal 2024. The Real Cost of Inefficient On Board Courier Services On Board Courier (OBC) services are designed to offer rapid and secure delivery of critical items. Delays: The Costly Consequence One of the most immediate and visible costs of inefficient OBC services is delays. When time-sensitive shipments are delayed, the impact can ripple through your business operations. Increased Costs Inefficient OBC services can result in increased costs that might not be immediately apparent but can add up over time. Overtime and Expedited Shipping When delays occur, companies often resort to overtime labor and expedited shipping to meet deadlines, both of which can significantly increase operational costs. According to Logistics Management, expedited shipping costs can be up to three times higher than standard shipping. Replacement and Compensation When items are lost or damaged, the cost of replacement and compensation to customers can be substantial. This not only affects the bottom line but also impacts customer trust and loyalty. Driver shortages just aren't a US problem...they are a global issue. And the US isn't the only country trying to manage truck driver safety. In April of this year Japan is enacting a limit to overtime for truckdrivers...and the country is preparing for the ensuing logistical issues. "Truck drivers in Japan traditionally work long hours for low pay. Labor ministry data from 2022 shows that the average annual working hours for a heavy truck driver were 2,568, which is 444 hours longer than the national average for all jobs. The average annual income was around 4% lower than the all-industry average, coming in at ¥4.77 million, the equivalent of roughly $36,000." Authorities are looking to automation, higher pay, and improved processes to lessen the impact. Other solutions include loosening Visa restrictions to allow foreign drivers. Add in Japan's aging workforce....and you can see why this is being called the "2024 Problem.) #CSCCSCM #TruckDrivers #drivershortage #Japan #transportation #logistics #supplychain #governmentregulations

Japan's #trucking industry is facing a major challenge known as the #2024Problem, driven by new government regulations that limit overtime and focus on improving working hours and conditions for drivers. To tackle this, some of the biggest names in the #seafood and #frozenfood industries—Nissui, Maruha Nichiro, Nichirei, Ajinomoto Frozen Foods, and TableMark—are #collaborating to create a new #logistics system. Here's what's happening: 📍 Five major companies are working together to improve logistics efficiency and keep the #supplychain running smoothly. 📍 The industry is dealing with a shortage of drivers, long wait times for loading/unloading, and the complexities of managing #coldstorage. 📍 Effective April 2024, overtime pay for carriers has been capped to 960 hours annually. This is making the labor shortage even worse. 📍 The focus is on better loading processes, creating efficiencies at logistics sites, reducing manual work, and cutting greenhouse gas emissions. As the "2024 problem" approaches, these innovative partnerships and strategic moves are essential to keeping Japan's logistics network strong. How do you think the collaboration between these major companies will fare? Share your thoughts, experiences, or any solutions you’ve seen in action. Source: https://lnkd.in/ec3vAVJC
