Today is #Juneteenth, a powerful reminder of the resilience, strength, and perseverance of Black communities throughout history. It's a day to celebrate freedom and progress, but also to reflect on the long journey toward equality and justice that is still ongoing. At Daré we work every day towards a more just and equitable world in which access to reliable healthcare is a fundamental right for everyone. Importantly, #healthequity requires working together to bring awareness and action to racial disparities and improving health outcomes. We honor the legacy of Juneteenth by continuing to educate ourselves, amplify Black voices, and work towards a more inclusive and equitable society. As we move into Black History Month in the US I think it’s important that we remind ourselves that we should be working towards a position in which one month doesn’t become the only focus point in which Black creativity, contributions and accomplishments are acknowledged. That we live in a time when the curriculum is decolonized and no longer taught through a white lens. When the achievements and service of Black people are uplifted and celebrated with the same value placed on others. When businesses and organisations don’t need a special reminder to bring Black specialists and educators into the conversation. This not a criticism of BHM,it’s a really valid and important moment but this month should not be a tick box exercise for organisations and the work needs to continue all year round. The theme this year is “African Americans And The Arts’ recognising the important contributions of the Black community throughout American history and society and resilience in the face of discrimination. How are you honouring BHM in your spaces this year? If you need some last minute speakers do reach out as we have a couple of speaking slots available. #blackhistorymonth #bhm #blackhistorymonth2024

Celebrating Juneteenth: A Journey of Freedom, Progress, and Empowerment Today, celebrate Juneteenth, a pivotal moment in American history when the last enslaved African Americans in Texas were informed of their freedom on June 19, 1865. This day symbolizes the end of slavery in the United States and serves as a powerful reminder of the ongoing struggle for equality and justice. Juneteenth is a celebration of resilience, culture, and the remarkable progress the Black community has made over the years. There has been progress in civil rights and corporate America, the contributions and achievements of Black people continue to shape our society in major ways. However, our journey is far from over. There is still work to be done to ensure true equality and opportunity for all. One avenue that I consistently talk about because of the immense potential for economic empowerment is passive real estate investing in commercial multifamily properties. By investing in these assets, we not only diversify our portfolios but also create avenues for generational wealth and community development. This form of investing can be particularly transformative for the Black community and other groups, providing a path to financial independence. Let's use this Juneteenth to reflect on our shared history, celebrate the progress we've made, and commit to creating a more inclusive and prosperous future. #Juneteenth #WealthMindset #RealEstateInvesting #Diversification #FinancialIntelligence #ThePharmaInvestor

As we observe Black History Month, it's essential to address a stark reality for this community: Approximately 53% of Black children in the U.S. are likely to encounter a CPS investigation by the age of 18, a rate nearly double that for White children. This statistic is a sobering reminder of the inequalities faced by Black families. At PCA America, we embrace and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of African Americans, particularly in the arts, as highlighted in this year's theme. However, we also recognize the urgent need for equitable treatment and support for all families. This month, let's commit to creating a world where every child, irrespective of their background, has the opportunity to thrive. #BlackHistoryMonth2024 #ArtForChange #EquityForAll

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, a day of liberation and reflection. On June 19, 1865, over 250,000 enslaved Black Americans in Texas finally learned they were free—more than two years after President Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation. While Juneteenth marks the end of slavery, it's important that we remember and acknowledge that the journey to freedom was long, and the fight for equality and equity continues today. A more equitable and equal society is possible through our combined efforts. By educating yourself and sharing what you learn, advocating for change, engaging with local organizations focused on social justice and helping amplify those voices. Engage with organization like the Running Industry Diversity Coalition, who are actively dismantling barriers and expanding black-ownership in the running industry. What are some other organizations that deserve our attention for their work in creating a more equitable world?
