Did you know? Compared to our surrounding comparable districts, the Fridley Public Schools has the third-lowest voter-approved authority per adjusted pupil unit for the 2024-25 fiscal year. If the proposed $424 adjusted pupil unit were to be approved on November 5, we would move toward the middle of surrounding comparable districts for the 2025-26 fiscal year. Through our work with Apex, Fridley Public Schools has a 10-year master facility plan that establishes a clear vision for the future of the district's facilities. It provides a comprehensive evaluation of our existing facilities, identifying current maintenance needs and maintenance projects that will need to be completed in the coming years. This plan includes improvements in safety and security, exterior building, interior systems, site work, and athletics. On November 5, our community will vote on a proposed facility bond referendum to fulfill many of the needs identified in our master plan. On Tuesday, November 5, our community will vote on a $30 million facility bond referendum. If approved, the district will move forward on a series of projects to address our most pressing facility and building needs. These projects would include: ➡️ Renovations and improvements at all district facilities ➡️ Deferred maintenance improvements ➡️ Safe and secure building renovations An approved bond would have no tax impact on district residents. This is possible due to other district bond levies ending. Learn more and find answers to frequently asked questions: https://lnkd.in/gVAh3PWE
