“Humanity risks catastrophic global heating if it focuses only on decarbonisation at the expense of restoring the natural world”    A recent article by Patrick Greenfield shares how Susana Muhamad, Colombia’s Environment Minister and upcoming President of the UN Biodiversity COP16 in October, is calling for greater political support to make “the global biodiversity framework as politically relevant as the climate agenda”.    Biodiversity must be taken into account when addressing climate issues. This is especially true for blue carbon ecosystems, which are biodiversity havens comprised of unique land and seascapes.
