I can’t express the feeling here. 🥳 But it was an excellent experience. Yesterday, I celebrated Holi with my family. First, they played with their friends. They enjoyed it a lot. After they have finished playing with their friends, it’s time to play with family. Celebrating festivals with your family creates a bond within them. Every family should celebrate festivals together. Here are few lessons. - Be a child when playing with children. Don’t be adamant. Enjoy like children, and you will see lots of anxiety and stress will go away. - When you enjoy with family, the love and trust between them increases. - Enjoying together and laughing with family is the best time of your life. The memories we make tend to last longer. - Creating moments like this will have an enormous impact on your children. They will learn to do the same with their children. - Never prioritize your work over the family, especially at festivals and celebrations. Children will remember it for a longer time. - You will feel much happier and less stressed from inside. So, create moments with your family. These are precious moments that will never come back again. What do you think?

The Trade-Off of China's Extended May Day Holiday: In China, the May Day holiday can extend to a full 5-day break, but this comes with a catch: to create this "Golden Week," employees have to give up their weekends before and after the holiday. What if we made Celebration a core value? When people hear that I live in Puerto Rico, they often say “Wow, what’s that like?” Yes, there are beautiful beaches, tropical weather, tax benefits, blue waters, and the only bona fide rainforest on American (sort of) soil. There is also limited access to healthcare, potholes, long lines, an inconsistent power grid, and an occasionally frustrating lack of adherence to traffic rules. What tips the scales for me is what you see in this video. Where else in the world am I going to find an impromptu concert breaking out at the boarding gate in an airport at 6 a.m.? What are they celebrating? Nothing at all except that they are together, they have air in their lungs, and they happen to have some musical instruments within arm's reach. For an ambitious, driven person like me who worships at the altar of Productivity way more often than I would like to admit, I like being in a place that constantly reminds me it’s okay to celebrate, just because. I like being in a place where the passengers break out into applause whenever their airplane lands. Every. Single. Time. I like being in a place where where my kids’ 3rd grade Social Studies textbook has an entire chapter devoted to the cultural virtue of Celebration. Not celebrating a day or an event--just celebrating to celebrate because life is worth celebrating, period. I wonder what would happen to the loneliness and mental health epidemics plaguing our workforce and our society if we added “celebration” to our mainstay corporate values like “integrity” and “excellence," et al. Creating night-time economy proximity hubs is necessary not only to diversify the offer of night-time activities but also to promote new night spots in different areas of the city. With the URBACT network Cities After Dark we are exploring different models that cities are including in the first drafts of their Integrated Action Plans. Community hubs open at night such as Giardini Luzzati in Genoa represent a model which may be replicated as testing action in different areas of the city as in other urban contexts, as it's actually happening in Naples where the replication of Genoa's model in a similar space is contributing to make night-time safer and more inclusive and vibrant for all.
