Our most frequently asked question.... Can fire seals be painted over? 🖌 ✔ Overpainting of Lorient fire seals should not compromise the performance of the product in a fire situation. however, we recommend avoiding overpainting wherever possible. If it must be done, paint should be limited to a maximum of five coats of conventional paint or lacquer, or a maximum of 0.5 mm, whichever is greater (As per the guidance set out in BS 8214:2016). Our seals are available in a range of colours, plus woodgrain finishes, so over-painting shouldn’t be necessary. ❗ This does not apply to Lorient smoke seals or combined fire and smoke seals. Ensuring that smoke seals are not painted over is of the utmost importance. If you find the fins or brush elements on a smoke seal have already been painted over, you will need to replace the smoke seal. ❗ If preparing a frame for redecorating, the use of heat or chemical strippers should be avoided if seals are incorporated. If either of these processes damages seals, they must be replaced. We have a Technical Blog covering this topic with further detail here: https://lnkd.in/e3Wpb6Xq Remember, it's important to keep fire seals properly maintained and inspected to ensure that they are in good working order and will perform as expected in the event of a fire.

Dealing with different types of shipments often means you have different needs for each. So, how do you go about meeting those needs when you continuously keep using the same types of wooden pallets for every load? Well, you don't. You need custom pallets. If you're not shipping internationally or into the EU and don't need the EUR/EPAL pallet, you get much more flexibility. For as long as Gama Design has been in operation, we've produced thousands of custom pallets, boxes, and crates. As our partner, you can get the best-sized pallet for your load made just for you whenever you need it. Usually, the wooden pallets we make with custom sizes most often are the one-way pallets that are not standardized across countries or industries. However, we've also made custom wooden boxes and crates for previous clients, which has proven to be a challenging yet rewarding feat. If you need other wood products custom-made, give us a call and we'll help you find the perfect solution.

Tecno Display takes the time to ensure the fine details of each glass showcase that we manufacture. We offer numerous product options that can help customize your display case to suit the image of your brand. During the ordering process, our knowledgeable staff will help you design your display cabinet. This includes determining the proper dimensions, the finishing color scheme, efficiency options, lighting features, and delivery requirements. Once this step has been completed, your display case will enter production. We craft each wooden showcase by hand—our expert team of craftspeople work in a step-by-step assembly style to protect the accuracy of the project. Once construction has been completed, our shipping department creates a specialty wooden crate based on the dimensions of each individual display case. After the freight carriers have picked up the order, our office staff will send out an email confirmation with tracking information so that transit progress may be monitored in real time. This will allow you to ready your team for the delivery window. It's that simple!

In the process of ship hull painting, selecting the right type of #tape is crucial for achieving a clean finish and protecting surfaces during the #painting process. Here are some guidelines for choosing the appropriate tape: 💦 Adhesion Level: Choose a tape with the right balance of initial tack and holding power. It should adhere well to the surface without leaving residue upon removal. 💦 Paint Compatibility: Ensure the tape is compatible with the type of paint being used. Some paints may contain solvents that can break down the tape's adhesive. 💦 Temperature Resistance: Opt for a #tape that can withstand the temperatures involved in the drying and curing process of the paint without losing its #adhesive properties. 💦 Surface Type: Consider the surface material you're applying the tape to. Different surfaces may require different adhesive technologies for optimal performance. 💦 Width and Thickness: Select the appropriate width and thickness based on the application. Wider tapes are useful for masking large areas, while thinner #tapes can be used for more detailed work. 💦 Removal Ease: Look for tapes that are easy to remove without causing damage to the underlying surface or leaving adhesive residue. 💦 #UV Resistance: If the tape will be left in place for an extended period under sunlight, choose a tape with UV resistance to prevent it from deteriorating. 💦 Abrasion Resistance: For areas that may be subject to physical wear and tear, select a tape with high abrasion resistance to maintain its protective function. 💦 Weather Resistance: If the #tape will be exposed to the elements, ensure it has good resistance to moisture, humidity, and temperature fluctuations. 💦 Professional Grade: Consider using professional-grade tapes designed for industrial applications, as they often offer better performance and durability. 💦 Environmental Regulations: Be aware of any environmental regulations that may affect tape selection, especially if the tape will be disposed of at #sea. 💦 Cost-Effectiveness: While it's important to choose high-quality #tape, consider the cost-effectiveness and whether the tape provides good value for its price. By keeping these factors in mind, you can select the right tape for #ship hull #painting that will ensure a professional finish and protect your #vessel's surfaces effectively. #MarinePainting #TapeSelection #ShipMaintenance #Shipbuilding #Tapes #MaritimeEngineering #ShipbuildingIndustry #MaritimeIndustry #YachtManufacturing

Choosing Between Wet or Dry Installation for PPF & Color Wrap: What’s Right for Your Car? When it comes to applying Paint Protection Film (PPF) or Color Wrap to your vehicle, one of the most critical decisions is whether to opt for a wet or dry installation. Each method has its unique advantages, and understanding the differences can help you achieve the best results for your vehicle's aesthetic and protection. Wet Installation: The Preferred Choice for Precision Wet installation is a method commonly used for applying PPF and Color Wrap because it offers a high level of precision. This technique involves spraying a mixture of water and soap on the adhesive side of the film and the vehicle’s surface. The film can then be easily slid into the perfect position before the water is squeegeed out. Advantages: Ease of adjustment: The film can be repositioned during application to ensure perfect alignment. Smooth finish: Reduces the chances of bubbles and wrinkles, resulting in a flawless finish. Ideal for complex surfaces: Works well on curved and irregular surfaces, making it suitable for detailed applications. When to Use: Wet installation is ideal for PPF applications, especially on high-end vehicles or areas with intricate curves. Dry Installation: Quick and Reliable Dry installation is a faster method where the film is applied directly to the vehicle without any solution. This approach is often used for Color Wraps and large, flat surfaces. Advantages: Speed: The application is quicker, making it perfect for large-scale wraps or when time is of the essence. Strong bond: The film adheres immediately, providing a durable bond that is less prone to shifting. No drying time: Once applied, the vehicle is ready to hit the road without waiting for the solution to evaporate. When to Use: Dry installation is best suited for Color Wraps on large, flat surfaces where precision alignment is less critical. Which Method Should You Choose? The choice between wet and dry installation largely depends on the specific needs of your project. For intricate detailing and Paint Protection Film, wet installation offers the flexibility and precision needed for a high-quality finish. On the other hand, if you’re looking to quickly apply a Color Wrap to large, flat areas, dry installation provides a fast and reliable solution. Expert Tip: For the best results, always consult with a professional installer who can advise on the most appropriate method based on your vehicle’s design and the type of film being used. #PPF #ColorWrap #WetInstallation #DryInstallation #CarProtection #VehicleWrapping #AutomotiveIndustry #CarCustomization #PaintProtection #VehicleAesthetics #CarCare
