The world today faces a multitude of challenges – violent conflicts disrupt education and stability, a polarized online environment fosters negativity, and persistent economic inequality limits opportunities. These issues threaten not only individual futures but also the overall stability of societies. It is crucial to equip youth with the skills needed to foster a culture of peace, nurture responsible global citizens, and promote sustainable development, in order to build a more just, inclusive, and sustainable future for all. In the spirit of cultivating a more inclusive space, we’re unpacking May East’s “Leverage Point 2 – Developing spaces for gathering and belonging” – where summer youth interns of Eye on Ivy relook at their everyday public spaces with lens of curiosity. Seeing what that place means to them, what makes that place unique, is the place living up to its full potential? The Latino workforce is growing rapidly, projected to account for over 78% of new labor force entrants from 2020 to 2030. That’s why we hosted a conversation in San Antonio, TX, between our #AffiliatesUnidos and local and national leaders to address job creation and economic empowerment. Key speakers included Manny Lamarre, Deputy Assistant Secretary at U.S. Department of Labor; Emily Ruskin, Senior Policy Advisor at the CHIPS Office; and Luis Acuña, Regional Director of NTIA at U.S. Department of Commerce. They discussed the impact of programs like BEAD and the CHIPS and Science Act on job opportunities. To build an inclusive economy, cross-sector partnerships and collaboration are crucial. We remain committed to enhancing job opportunities and addressing community needs by developing digital skills and leveraging apprenticeships. #UnidosUS

Close-up sneak peeks behind the scenes of our group – our EHG Practice Day 2024! 👩🏽🎓🚐🔍🧑🎓 You’ve almost completed your studies, the professional world is ready for you and your first job is just around the corner... but what do employers actually have to offer? To help students answer this big question and introduce them to the many exciting career paths at EHG, our HR team once again invited students from southern Germany to our annual EHG “Praxistag” (“Practice Day”). The interest and attendance this year were outstanding: more than twice as many students as last year were curious about EHG and wanted to get a glimpse of what we do. So, it was time for us to deliver! To start the day off, our comms experts Stefan von Terzi and Charlotte Straßer gave everyone an introduction to our group and the story behind EHG. Carina Geiger, our contact person for internships, practical semesters and dual study (work-study) programs at EHG, guided the students through the Practice Day, which was all about getting to know EHG on a practical level with plenty of insights into the career opportunities. Next, we did a deep dive into our product range: while the R&D team lead Sergio Mauta proved that we never stop thinking ahead – even with bike and ski racks, using the example of our modular Backrack+ – our digital expert Stefan Schädler shared interesting insights into the System Control Unit operating our vehicle control apps. A definite highlight was the high-end all-terrain Venture S from our HYMER brand, which was showcased live by product manager Victoria Hepp. After a workshop in which we all brainstormed fresh ideas and innovations for the world of campers and caravans, our HYMER trainees Michael Buck and Amateus Fischer took us on a wrap-up tour through our production buildings. A big thank you to all colleagues involved and especially to our special guests – who knows, maybe we’ll see each other again on the job some day... 😉 You missed this year’s EHG Practice Day and have some questions about the career opportunities in our group of companies? Feel free to message us via LinkedIn or visit our dedicated career website to find answers: https://lnkd.in/d5u6Ysq #travel #camping #career #careerstart #employerbranding #traineeship
