Read an news report about the truth behind the $10 a day Daycare. Good for the parents, but not so good for the Daycare operator. It does not cover the cost of running them. Many Daycare are now going out of business and closing which means less spaces. Another failed project. Liberals have no vision of what chaos they cause. They are very short sighted and can not see past the first step and no follow through. Make life more affordable. Stop sending money overseas and get rid of the Carbon Tax slush fund.
Since we cut child care costs in half and created more spaces in child care centres, we’ve saved working parents thousands of dollars a year. The Conservative leader calls that “daycare bureaucracy”.

NEW LIIF REPORT on Harris County, Texas' #childcare ecosystem (https://lnkd.in/g9RyZCK3). Our research finds that, of the 2,613 child care facilities in the county, which includes Greater #Houston, 99.5% are in areas with climate risk that exceeds the national average. And over half of all child care supply – 104,000 seats in total – faces disaster risk above the 90th percentile nationally. Despite these risks, data from a survey LIIF conducted of child care program directors in May 2024 reveals that many programs lack the financial resources and capacity to weatherize their facilities. #climatechange #climateemergency

Our friends at Moms First are mobilizing communities to Get Child Care on the Record! Child care now costs more than rent in all 50 states, and struggling caregivers deserve action. This election season, candidates up and down the ballot (regardless of party) must not only prioritize bold, transformative solutions to the childcare crisis — but also commit to making them happen. The mission is simple: Collectively raise our voices to ask candidates the crucial question, “Will you prioritize child care in your first 100 days in office?” If we’re going to fix our broken child care system, we need leaders who are ready to find and enact solutions.
