For the decade prior to joining Stamats, I was part of a very slim, hybrid higher ed communications and recruitment team, which was embedded in the admissions department. Shortly after joining the team, reality set in how one can drink from a firehose working in higher ed. As I graduated from one role to another, more responsibilities were added—and then more. Here are 5 steps I either adopted or recommend in hindsight. Want to read more on this? Here is a lengthier version. https://lnkd.in/g-twAdmi #highereducation #higheredmarketing

To say I could cry from happiness right now is an understatement. At Vedder Price, our Labor & Employment group annually releases a mid-year round up that encapsulates our most-read articles and blog posts, focusing on what is most important to our clients. This year, I had the honor of co-authoring two articles—one with Libby Hall and the other with Michelle Olson. Both of these articles were highlighted as the Top Most Read Articles for 2024! When I opened the digital booklet, I almost fell out of my chair! No words can adequately express how grateful I am and how much joy this recognition brings to my heart. Not too shabby for a First-Generation student who learned English as her second language. From the age of five, I knew I would become an attorney, and every day, my goal is to make that younger version of myself proud. Thank you, Vedder Price and our L&E group for providing me the platform, mentorship, and resources to make this possible! Private Wealth Advisor at Ellevest. I help individuals build generational wealth through investing. Let's invest with intention.
Today marks my five year anniversary at Ellevest 💛 And while so much life has happened in these past five years, I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. The response to my joining of Ellevest five years ago was overwhelmingly positive. Congratulations were also sprinkled with some memorable well-wishes and commentary. Among these, the most ubiquitous sentiment was encouragement to excel in such a specialized, niche space. I often reflect on this notion of "niche". Because to label women as a niche ignores the fact that we make up half of the population. It is to dismiss the reality that women are the driving force behind consumer decisions, which in turn fuels nearly 70% of the United States economy. To classify women as niche is to undermine the staggering $11 trillion in assets under their control in the United States alone. And that's just the present situation. Projections suggest that by 2030, American women will wield decision-making power over a minimum of $30 trillion. For me, on most days, money is feminine. Thank you to Sallie Krawcheck, Sylvia S. Kwan, CFA, CAIA, Emily Green, and my Ellevest partners and clients for making this a reality. And, we’re just getting started 💫

Architecting Student Success Together 🌟 At Coly, every connection we forge and every community we nurture is like laying a brick in the foundation of harmonious campus living. We're crafting more than living spaces; we're designing ecosystems where every student thrives. Our blueprint? A fusion of advanced algorithms and a deep dive into the nuances of personality and values. It's an art and a science, blending technology with the human touch, transforming living spaces into nurturing environments where every student feels understood and valued. But here's the beautiful part – this blueprint comes to life through collaboration. You, our Coly community, are the co-architects. Your insights, your experiences, and your stories are the vibrant strokes that complete this picture. With every shared idea and feedback, you help refine our design, making our communities not just functional but flourishing. 🤝 So, as we draft this future together, we invite you to share, engage, and be an integral part of this journey. Here's to the blueprint we hold and the incredible structures we're creating, brick by brick, heart by heart. 🚀 The Team at Coly 🏠✨ #studenthousing #pbsa #students #universitylife #studentsuccess #personaldevelopment #personalgrowth #personality #values #senseofbelonging

August is Water Quality Month! Last month our intern, Alex, and co-op participant, Nick, went to the Pennichuck Brook and Merrimack River watershed where they collected water samples. Once they had all the samples, they went back to Pennichuck’s lab to test the water for various contaminants and probe readings to collect data on the water’s pH level, dissolved oxygen, and measure the flows at each of our 18 tributary sites. Our objective in collecting these samples is to be able to monitor the water quality in the pond and its tributaries. Tracking the water quality parameters allows Pennichuck to get a better understanding of the fluctuations of the water as a result of seasonal weather and climate changes. This information helps Pennichuck to understand how to treat the water best to ensure the highest water quality. #Pennichuck #PennichuckWater #WaterQuality #WaterQualityMonth #Intern #Lab #WaterIndustry
