For the past few years, Singapore has had a new attraction for tourists and citizens alike: the MOIC (Museum Of Ice Cream) built in an old colonial building of 5500 m2. The museum offers 14 multi-sensory and interactive installations on pink resin and other floors that characterize the interior design. They were created using a Mapei system to obtain seamless surfaces with high mechanical strength. Monaco’s pavilions are always imaginative, always as well designed as a Swiss clock. In 2015, it was constructed mostly of worn shipping containers that suggested dumpsters more than diamonds. Encompassing 10 thematic stations portrayed as a “hangar of ideas,” the pavilion showcased populist efforts such as the first oyster hatchery in the Mediterranean, employing an enchanting interactive game teaching guests how to balance delicate environmental conditions to produce the salty sustenance. In Kazakhstan for Expo 2017, guests encountered a colossal — yet calming — wave-like structure, a kinetic sculpture the size of a humpback whale. It comprised 36 individual mirrored panels, each as tall as a two-story structure. Oscillating around a single central axis, the mirrored pieces independently glided up and down in dream-like strides, reflecting the cerulean lighting and surreal, conceptual imagery projected on the pavilion’s flooring. In 2020 in Dubai, The pavilion's exterior design was inspired by the "Rock of Monaco" and featured a large, boulder-like structure covered in photovoltaic panels. And now for 2025 in Osaka, Monaco will fuse the Mediterranean garden with its Japanese counterpart, with a common thread of a rose and its petals. It's pure Monaco, meaning it'll be polished, chic, elegant. Expo 2025 Osaka SIMMETRICO NETWORK #DesigningFutureSocietyforOurLives https://lnkd.in/gJK6QKqP

Remaining Things by #TeoYang for Gallery COLLECTIONAL, part of Urban Fabric Series 001. Seoul is in constant motion. The traditional Korean housing vernacular known as 'hanok' began to disappear in the late 1900s, leaving only small clusters in today's larger South Korean cities. Reflecting on this cultural legacy, Teo Yang explores innovative responses to the evolving cityscape by creating objects that reinterpret architectural remnants, aiming to preserve their significance while adapting them for contemporary use and contributing to the ongoing narrative of urban transformation. Yang utilises a mix of modern materials such as glass, rubber, marble, and veneer to transform architectural remnants into new forms with symbolic continuity to their heritage. These materials serve as the reconstructed framework and façade of the original structures, maintaining their philosophical underpinnings while embracing novel aesthetics and functionalities. #remainingthings #easternedition #collectibledesign #urbanfabric #dubai

**Finding the Beauty in Green Spaces: A Journey of Rediscovery** Recently, I rediscovered the incredible beauty of London through its green spaces. As I wandered through the city’s parks, gardens, and hidden patches of nature, I began paying closer attention to the ecology and the life that thrives in these spaces. It made me reflect on how, as humans, we coexist with these natural environments, especially for those of us who have grown up surrounded by the urban landscape. Growing up in a city like London often means being surrounded by buildings, concrete, and a fast-paced lifestyle that leaves little room for rest and reflection. Yet, this project has prompted me to rethink how I design my life—how I can carve out moments to rest, breathe, and connect with the natural world around me. It's about discovering and cherishing the "green scars" that weave through our cities, transforming them into spaces that inspire peace and reflection. As I launch my latest exhibition today, I want to explore this idea further. It’s an invitation to rethink how we interact with nature and to realize that even in a city as dense as London, there are natural gems closer than we might think. Whether it’s a small, tucked-away garden, a leafy square, or a quiet path in one of London’s many parks, these spaces are all around us, waiting to be discovered and appreciated. By caring more about these green spaces and the life they nurture, we are also caring for ourselves. When we pay attention to the ecology around us, we find ways to nurture our own well-being and creativity. So, wherever you are in London—or any city for that matter—I encourage you to slow down, explore, and connect with the green spaces nearby. You might be surprised at how much beauty and tranquillity are just around the corner. Exhibition: Contours of belonging Event launch FREE Date: September 11th 2024 Time: 4pm - 7:30pm Location: SPACE Ilford, 10 Oakfield Rd, Ilford IG1 1ZJ #artexhibition #exhibition #jewellery #fineart #filmart #londonartist
