It was a great honour to join the session Towards an ERA Free from Gender-based Violence in Science at European R&I Days 2024 with Irene Norstedt, Fredrik Bondestam and Rhonda Davis. And what were my final words? 1. Our efforts must continue, one policy cycle won't do the trick. 2. #GBV must be obligatory in #GEPs. You can’t have a GEP and not address GBV. How do you want to address #intersectional #inequalities and work toward institutional change if you do not address the underlying causes, with all the different forms of micro-aggressions, denigrations, violations, and violence and rape at the centre. You just can’t. 3. We must not only hold perpetrators accountable, we must hold the leaders of institutions accountable because they have the responsibility for ensuring #safe environments. #RiDaysEU #GenderEquality #EuropeanReseachArea #GBVfreeERA
