Marketing Director | Mental Health Advocate | Promoting Community, Impact, and Kindness

I'm eager to see more research on the impact it could have on the overall well-being of individuals and families. During my MBA program in Organizational Leadership, I focused on similar concepts, exploring how changes in work structure can enhance overall well-being and productivity. I believe that having more time for personal pursuits, family, and leisure activities can lead to happier, healthier individuals and stronger communities, and in return, happier and more productive employees. For me, this isn't just about statistics or economic theory—it's about recognizing the value of both empirical evidence and personal experiences. I believe that a shorter workweek would afford us more than just extra leisure time; it would offer a chance to step off the relentless treadmill of work-related stress, to prioritize our health, nurture personal relationships, and create more cherished memories with our loved ones. When I envision my life beyond my career, I want to look back on a tapestry woven not just with professional achievements, but with the richness of experiences shared with family and friends. I want to be able to say that I served my career well, but more importantly, that it also served me—that it allowed me the time and freedom to cultivate a fulfilling life outside of work. I'm passionate about my career and contributing to the greater good, but I firmly believe that self-care and personal fulfillment shouldn't be sacrificed on the altar of productivity. It's about finding a balance that's not just meaningful but liberating—a balance that acknowledges the intrinsic value of our lives beyond the confines of the workplace. I'm lucky to work for a company that embraces flexibility, and for that, I am grateful. But this isn’t just about me. It’s about giving everyone the same opportunity of freeing flexibility and more time to nurture the one life they were given. Interested to see where this goes...

It's an across the board 20% increase in labor cost for all business operations in the US (which is the major variable expense for most companies) - and a 20% reduction in the available workforce. It would force companies to move jobs offshore. Bernie Sander has all the accounting acumen of a landfill. He's the Dem's answer to Greene... Fortunately - not only do all Republicans ignore him, so do most Dem's. Let's not forget his brilliant scheme to tax unrealized income from stock/investments. Not only does that force people to pay tax on "standing" assets and unrealized income that could decline in value - it would force the divestitures of founders from their business. A similar process on taxing assets of inherited business' has wiped out generations of family owned companies.
