Don't just study DSA and practice DSA questions just to pass the coding interview. Study and practice them to be a better engineer and logical thinker in general. Maybe we need to switch the perspective. People often scare DSA because they stumbled upon hard questions that will rarely get asked during a real interview at a real job. Generally speaking, you just need to focus on learning the fundamentals of DSA and practice Easy to Medium ones. Now you're good to go.

😂 We've all been there—Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) seem to pop up in every tech interview, right? But why does DSA always take center stage? It's because mastering DSA sharpens your problem-solving skills and helps you approach complex challenges effectively, a key aspect that companies value. However, tech interviews involve much more than just DSA. Want to dive deeper into strategies to ace your next tech interview? https://lnkd.in/dFEfi4em #TechInterviews #CareerGrowth #DSA #SystemDesign #InterviewSkills #TechCareers #Coding

Do these 3 things if you want to skip DSA coding interviews: 1) Apply to more non-tech companies 2) Make a solid portfolio that showcases your team work 3) Practice effective networking I’d rather you not have to do another DSA interview for the rest of your life. Even if you can’t completely avoid them, you can at least skip some if you know what you’re doing. #softwareengineer #coding #algorithms #dsa #tech

HOW To Crack DSA Questions in Interviews??? Step by step approach was required in solving DSA questions. 1.Firstly,Understand the problem & ask interviewer if any clarifications required. 2.Next write a Pseudo code for the given problem & Be clear about your approach. 3.Analyze the space & time complexity for the solution . 4.Dry run the code & try for the edge cases. 5.Now check for syntax errors . 6.finally your code was given for finding optimal solution. 7.Keep everything in a time bound manner. 8.Keep practicing on platforms like Leet code,Geeks for Geeks etc., 9.Learn from mistakes & don't repeat them again. 10.Consistency in learning & revising concepts of DSA foremost among all.

💣 Wanna hear about an interview I bombed? As we carefully plan the final chapters for "Beyond Cracking the Coding Interview," I’ve been reflecting on interviews I didn't pass. It occurred to us that hearing the colossal interview failures that Gayle, Aline, myself, and Nil have had during our careers might be a fun thing to add. This book isn't just about passing interviews; it's about transforming your approach and mindset to coding questions, learning from your mistakes, and growing from them. I can’t wait to share these stories with you! Do you think this kind of content belongs in the sequel? Let us know. Your answers literally help guide our writing. 😄 76 days until BCtCI is released! #beyondcrackingthecodinginterview #bctci #codinginterviews

It's not about the quantity, but *how* well you solve DSA questions.✅ I have come across many people who focus on the numbers rather than the depth. Remember, top companies evaluate a candidate's ability to code complex problems and design scalable solutions during the interview process.💯 So, making multiple posts won't help. Instead, practicing and understanding the fundamentals of DSA is the key. I would advise you to start preparing for these rounds based on the gaps you detect in your prep.✨ For example, if you don't understand basic problems and can only solve moderate problems slowly, you can improve by practicing complex problems and participating in mock interviews. You can utilize platforms such as Preplaced to connect with SDEs who are experts in DSA. These mentors can assist you in identifying your skill gaps by assessing your abilities and then guide you in bridging these gaps.🚀 Connect with them for a free trial. - https://lnkd.in/g4bpddyR

How to restart with interview prep? DSA or Projects? Start with what you enjoy! If you don't enjoy, you won't be regular and in no time you are back to square zero! Here's the template I follow. I hope it helps a few 1. Create a resume and start applying. Nothing gives motivation like a scheduled interview 😂 2. Start with CP/DS-Algo. I love Maths and Competative Programming keeps me motivated. 3. Follow some sheets may be by Striver or Love Babbar. 4. Start with mini projects. I wanted to get deeper knowledge of Java and Databases so did that. 5. Start reading blogs, white papers, system design books and binge Gaurav Sen and @jainshrayansh Again the most important is do what you like. There is no one set path written on stone. Do what makes you HAPPY 😊

This is spot on. While I don't subscribe to the notion that you need to concentrate 100% on a single type of role, you need to have a clear, specific understanding of the role(s) you're focusing on if you want to be successful. And if you *are* looking at, say, a couple different types of positions, you'll need to tailor your application materials to highlight applicable experience in different ways.
