Happy Thursday LinkedIn. I had a reflecting moment last night while watching Big Brother. They put the contestants through big and scary challenges to test how much they want to win. They are willing to do some of the most embarrassing and crazy things. The biggest thing is the contestants know it is televised. It made me think about the Job Market and how people are scared to make a jump to a new position due to being comfortable where they are or they doubt their ability to do well in another company. To win big you need/want to do something that is uncomfortable to win. Test the waters, challenge yourself, put yourself in an uncomfortable situation. These are things you need to do to make sure you get the job you want or you are striving to get. With that, I have some new roles I am currently working on. 🚨Senior Clinical Scientist 🚨 - San Diego - Metabolic Disorder experience - Clinical Pharmacology - Reviewing and analyzing clinical trial data. - On-site in San Diego 🚨Senior Scientist, Mass Spec🚨 - Washington State - HPLC, LC-MS, Mass Spec - Process Development - High Throughput Screening. 🚨Director/Sr. Director DMPK and Clinical Pharmacology🚨- South San Fran - Population PK Modeling - Exposure-response analysis - Drug Development - Clinical Pharmacology If you are a Scientist looking for a new position or a Hiring Manager looking to bring on a new Scientist, please do not hesitate to reach out. 📧: Colby.Hurst@EPMScientific.com #Biotech #Scientist #DMPK #MassSpec #ClinicalScientist #Director #SeniorDirector #Science #ProcessDevelopment #ClinicalPharmacology

Hire a Picasso: In the middle of the pandemic, the saying was “anyone with a pulse will get a job at a CDMO or in a pharma company”. Post-pandemic, now, saying is “if you have network, you will get a job”. Ponder upon it for a second and you won’t have to read the entire post. We got through one of the worst pandemics in modern history by how? By hiring Folks for a Different Background, by hiring people with education and arts degrees in GMP manufacturing rooms, by expanding our recruitment to DEI and underprivileged class, “we got through the pandemic by hiring Picasso”. It has been three years post-pandemic, and we (the Homo Sapiens sapiens) are baffled, lost, and worried, why? Because we have hired “People we would love to work with, people that share exactly our experiences, people that we met on the golf course we go to, the people that look like us” Get out of your comfort zone, Hire a Picasso, bring in new ideas, hire a versatile personality that will help you build a dynamic, adaptable workforce that can thrive in the ever-changing landscape. I can teach anyone Microbiology, Next gen sequencing, Cell and gene therapy etc, but only a Picasso can paint something that generations will remember. Hire a versatile candidate because they’re more resilient in the face of uncertainties and setbacks, will help you navigate complex situations with agility and determination. “Hire a Picasso, not your Golf caddie”. Ps: I have never worked as an HR/recruiter, but I have been a manager and involved in hiring decisions. #hiring #recruitment #Diversity #inclusion #pharma #biotech
