The days have been long, the nights even longer, but every bit of effort is bringing me closer to the finish line. 📚 It's been a journey of highs and lows – moments of self-doubt followed by moments of breakthrough. There have been chapters that seemed impossible to conquer, but with persistence, they became manageable. Now, with the final push, it's about fine-tuning, revisiting core concepts, and staying mentally sharp. One thing that stands out in this process is how much discipline matters. It's easy to get overwhelmed by the pressure, the expectations, and the sheer volume of material. But I've learned that maintaining a positive mindset, a structured study plan, and taking time to rest has been crucial. It’s A level results day. This is only a part of your journey. It is not all of it. My A level results were not good. Believe me, when I am presenting cases in court, no one asks me what grades I got at A level. When clients are choosing me for cases they don’t ask me what my A level grades were. When Judges are considering my arguments they don’t ask me what my A level grades were. If you got brilliant results, well done. This is the passport to the next stage of your career where you will be told that most of what you learned at A level was just the beginning of the process, whether that is an academic or skill based process. If your grades were not what you wanted ask yourself why and learn from that process. If there are things you can change to make the difference do so. If there are not then be proud of what you have achieved. My A levels were poor because I was bullied at school to the extent I had to move and to get a significant part-time job to assist in paying for my living expenses. I was sad and upset about them but also very proud that I got through them. It would have been so easy to give up. I didn’t. I never have. Keep going. Your day will come. Your journey may be longer and may take a different route than the one you imagined but with determination you can and will succeed.

YOU WILL FAIL... I've often been labeled as an unconventional student due to my approach to exams. While some may perceive me as lacking seriousness, my results speak otherwise. Typically, I finish my exams within 30 to 45 minutes always ready to submit. However, this isn't always the case, especially with particularly challenging exams. The #misconception lies in equating speed with #diligence. My reluctance to revisit completed sections of my exams is due to a reason to maintain the #integrity of my work and avoid #self-doubt. While I do review my theoretical questions, I firmly believe in the principle of "once it's done, it's done." I was privately sat down to warn me of my exams strategy submission and how it might be a dangerous move. Interestingly, I wasn't the only one who adhered to this philosophy. There was another #individual who had shared a similar approach, often submitting his papers within 30 minutes. Though I didn't like the #fact I was being paired around and called out with someone , I just kept doing my exams and filling the sheets. Yet, as the saying goes, "all that glitters is not gold." Despite his speedy submissions, this individual faced a harsh reality when exam results were released. He had four resits in his papers and what most of my classmates kept referencing was the fact he always submitted early. As for me, I passed all my #papers. This reflection isn't intended to belittle or ridicule but basically ponted out some things : ✅ It serves as a reminder that #success in exams is multifaceted, requiring a balanced approach that goes beyond mere speed. ✅Blindly copying others' strategies can lead to unfavorable outcomes and may not be suitable for everyone ✅Developing critical thinking skills and self-awareness is essential for optimizing not just exam performance but in life situations. All this points also similarly relate to in life, when we see someone succeed and try to follow their paths to success to the #book. Reflecting on my journey, I've come to understand the profound impact of learning from mistakes. In my earlier years, I was riding high on the wave of success, excelling in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. However, the bubble burst when my overconfidence led to a disappointing performance in my 10th board exams. Despite high expectations from myself, my parents, and teachers, I fell short of the mark, scoring only 92%. It was a wake-up call that I hadn't anticipated. Initially, I struggled to comprehend the gravity of my mistake. Instead of channeling the disappointment into motivation, I allowed it to dampen my spirits and diminish my enthusiasm for academics. The repercussions were evident as I approached my 12th board exams. Amidst the pressure, personal issues, and the betrayal of a close friend, I found myself battling not only academic challenges but also health setbacks, as I was hospitalized due to typhoid. The outcome was far from ideal, with a mere 73% in my 12th board exams. I watched as my peers secured coveted seats in prestigious colleges and embarked on promising career trajectories. Meanwhile, I found myself grappling with limited options and financial constraints. It was a humbling experience that forced me to confront the harsh realities of life. Yet, amidst the disappointment and setbacks, I refused to succumb to despair. I recognized the importance of resilience and the transformative power of learning from mistakes. Instead of dwelling on past regrets, I embraced the opportunity for growth and self-improvement. Today, as I look back on my journey, I'm grateful for the invaluable lessons learned along the way. While the road may have been fraught with obstacles, it has also been marked by moments of resilience, determination, and unwavering optimism. I’ve stopped trying for a 100… All my schooling and even college, I used to count my marks backwards i.e. How many marks am I losing? This seeped into other areas of my life too: In my relationships, I focused on the small disagreements and the un-replied texts. In business, it was the deals I didn't close and the clients I didn't win. I was always focused on what I was losing, missing, or not achieving. Somewhere around Feb 2023, my business coach wanted me to journal about my achievements to overcome one of my main limiting beliefs: I was blank for 10 minutes straight. Couldn’t think of any achievements AT ALL! That’s when she mentioned that: I was always looking at achievements wrt what others have achieved. I would see a 10/10 as an achievement because someone from my class got it, I would see an admission into an IIT/IIM as an achievement because someone I know got into it, I would see a $10k/month as an achievement because one of my business friends did it While all these are achievements, no denial, they are not MY achievements. They are someone else’s achievements that I am comparing myself to. And when I compare myself to others, I always come up short. This was a big breakthrough moment for me. I wouldn't say I'm less ambitious, less competitive, or don't beat myself up when I fail, But I have certainly become kinder to myself ❤️ What's 1 thing you've started feeling differently about?
