The AEMO Chief Executive admits there's no guarantee of cheaper energy prices under Bowen's renewal energy plan. This is on top of the AEMO's dodgy modelling which suggested nuclear energy would be too expensive and take too long. So if the AEMO Chief doesn't even know, how can Energy Minister Bowen & PM Albo be out in the public domain promising "cheaper electricity". Misinformation or disinformation? I'll let the reader choose. #nuclearenergy #energypolicy #energysecurity

Australia’s energy ministers have agreed to the development of the national consumer energy resources roadmap to give consumers control over their energy needs, while unanimously rejecting nuclear as too expensive and too slow to meet emissions targets. #Renewables #Australia #Solarenergy

Ben is President & CEO of M-RETS. Ben is a sought-after speaker, writer, and executive leader on environmental commodities, innovation in the utility sector, and how data will drive decarbonization
Pretty cool to see that, "between 7 PM and 10 PM on April 30, for example, batteries supplied more than one-fifth of California’s electricity and, for a few minutes, pumped out 7,046 megawatts of electricity, akin to the output from seven large nuclear reactors.” This is markets responding to pricing signals and the benefits from renewables + storage innovation. However, we need to make sure the batteries are decreasing the carbon intensity of the grid, which is where things like emissions tracking and hourly RECs will help. https://lnkd.in/gcdp34m7

The renewable energy conversation often overlooks a crucial reality: the immense material and resource demands required to scale wind and solar technologies in a world already facing significant resource shortages and environmental challenges. To address these dual challenges, we must consider incorporating nuclear energy, argues Monash University Professor Michael Preuss. #manufacturing #australianmanufacturing #nuclear #energytransition Monash Engineering
