👨🚀 Thomas Pesquet talks about Servair! French astronaut Thomas Pesquet has recently published his book "Ma vie sans gravité" (My Life Without Gravity). In this deeply personal and relatable autobiography, he shares his journey from his childhood in France to his space mission, describing his rigorous training, time at the International Space Station (ISS), and emotions upon returning to Earth. Here's the extract quoting servair (translated from the original French version of the book): "The food choice is crucial for the troops' future morale (I realized this during my first mission). The prodigious Thierry Marx is again on board, much to my delight, as is the great Alain Ducasse. For a touch of novelty, I've also asked servair, the caterer for Air France and over a hundred other airlines, to concoct a few dishes based on my tastes: crunchy spelled, creamy celery and truffonade for starters, boeuf bourguignon for the main course and crêpe Suzette for dessert. It's always the pandemic; people are stuck at home and rediscovering home cooking as I did, so we choose simple, family-style dishes." Thomas Pesquet, Ma vie sans gravité. His book is available for purchase in bookstores and on various online platforms. #servair #gategroup #creatingculinaryconnections #spacefood #culinarycreativity #ThierryMarx #AlainDucasse #gastronomy

Imagine you are up before the sun to board the first marine spaceport for human spaceflight, Marine Spaceport Voyager (MS Voyager). Shortly after you enter Spaceship Neptune, which was designed to be not only accessible and sustainable but also safe. You gracefully launch from the ocean, traveling up a gentle speed of 12 mph, and witness a breathtaking sunrise. Your destination is apogee - or maybe the true destination is a shift in your perspective - and once you arrive above 99% of the Earth's atmosphere, you take it all in. You realize you are one of the few who have witnessed Earth from space, and the experience is not exactly what you thought. It is a gentle, peaceful journey enhanced with food and beverage service, comfortable seating and Wi-Fi. After two unforgettable hours soaking up an experience of a lifetime, you begin a gentle descent that ends with a soft splash in the ocean before being brought back onto MS Voyager to commemorate with a toast. You have secured your spot in history. Now this might not seem like a realistic scenario for many travelers, but the insatiable curiosity of explorers and scientists has brought space travel within reach. Space Perspective plans to take the experience to a whole new level. Travelers are looking for unique and transformative experiences. The hunger to go where no one has gone before and the demand for experiencing something extraordinary has exploded. Will this be the next craze, and if so, will you be boarding?

The Future of Space Tourism: The future of space travel is an exciting prospect that has captured the imagination of scientists, technologists, and space enthusiasts alike. It has long been the domain of government organizations such as NASA and other global space agencies, but with recent advancements in technology and the emergence of private companies like SpaceX and Blue Origin, space travel is gradually becoming a reality for ordinary civilians. Space tourism is set to become increasingly commonplace in the coming years, with private companies offering suborbital flights that take passengers on a brief journey into space. These flights promise to be a unique experience that only a select few individuals have ever been able to experience. Suborbital flights are the first step in making space travel accessible to the general public. These flights have the added benefit of accommodating those of us who are less adventurous as they do not require extensive training or training. Passengers will experience weightlessness and spectacular views of Earth for a few minutes before returning to Earth. But suborbital flight is just the beginning. Companies like SpaceX and Blue Origin also plan to offer orbital flights. The orbital flight takes passengers further into space and requires a more rigorous learning process. However, these flights offer the opportunity to see Earth from a much larger perspective and perhaps even visit the International Space Station. There is no doubt that space travel will be costly in the near future. But as technology improves and more private companies enter the space race, prices are likely to come down. The possibility of regular civilian space flights in the near future is becoming more and more a reality. Additionally, the practical applications of space travel remain far-reaching. It can be used to transport people and valuable resources to other planets, facilitate space exploration and experiments, and learn more about the universe and our place within it. The future of space travel is an exciting and rapidly evolving area with endless possibilities. It’s no longer just for astronauts and space enthusiasts. Soon, ordinary citizens will be able to realize their dreams of traveling beyond Earth and exploring the wonders of the universe. Space Tourism Future

How long until we have travel companies taking us to the Moon 🌑 ??? It could be decades away… But society became a small step closer to commercial moon travel last week as Odysseus safely landed on the moon. Odysseus is the first commercial spacecraft to ever land on the moon’s surface… And although it seems to have tipped over upon landing… This still represents a significant step. But will ‘Moon Tourism’ ever really be a concept? And if so, who will take the trip and what will be the purpose? One thing seems to be clear… Space tourism may not be as far away as we think… And when it does happen, will mean a small step for space travel… But a giant leap for the travel and tourism industry.

SPACE TOURISM Space tourism is another niche segment of the aviation industry that seeks to give tourists the ability to become astronauts and experience space travel for recreational, leisure, or business purposes. Since space tourism is extremely expensive, it is a case of a very small segment of consumers that are able and willing to purchase a space experience. There are several options for space tourists. For example, Crouch et al. investigate the choice behaviour between four types of space tourism: high altitude jet fighter flights, atmospheric zero-gravity flights, short-duration suborbital flights, and longer duration orbital trips into space. Reddy et al. (2012) find the following motivational factors behind space tourism: vision of earth from space, weightlessness, high speed experience, unusual experience, and scientific contribution. Currently, only high-altitude jet fighter flights and atmospheric zero-gravity flights are commercially available to tourists in the space tourism sector. Accordingly, this section provides an example of each, whilst the potential for suborbital and longer duration orbital trips into space are discussed later in this chapter. #snsinstitutions #snsdesignthinker #snsdesingthinking

Three levels of joy: 1. Travelers say no bad weather, but bad equipment, and rejoice good equipment. 2. Astronauts say no bad equipment, but bad air, and rejoice good air. 3. Priests say no bad air, but bad spirit, and rejoice Good Spirit.
