If you are interested in AI and games, I'd recommend watching "A Murder at the End of the World" (on Disney+, there may be some lenghty parts in between but the end is worth it!) from the genius minds behind the series "OA" (which also dealt with the topic of games in its second season ^^)! #artificialintelligence #AI #games #VR #AR #chatbot #conscience #KI https://lnkd.in/ey4p8i67

I would recommend this training to everyone. Any organisation involved, in anyway, with domestic abuse cases should have this training. The VR training makes it immersive but as a result it is very hard hitting. It is a training session that I will never forget. Surely this is what you want from a training session.
MMP is committed to supporting victims and survivors of coercive control within domestic abuse. We are proud to collaborate with North Wales Police and Bangor University in delivering training to nearly 200 student officers. The training aims to equip officers with the tools to identify and address this insidious form of abuse, which is often missed or misunderstood by legal and law enforcement professionals. Check out the link below for more information on how North Wales Police officers are using virtual reality training to combat control and coercion. #domesticabuse #coercivecontrol #training #collaboration. https://lnkd.in/e2EH9_UP

The Courts Service have launched their 360° 3d Virtual Reality video "Who is in the courtroom?". The video aims to support victims of crime / vulnerable witnesses coming to court, so that they can see the courtroom setting in advance, and the various people that they might interact with on the day. https://lnkd.in/es42HY4i Here are some tips to get the most out of the experience: • Select to watch the video in 4K or 8K quality • Turn on subtitles to assist with understanding • Use your mouse to get a 360 view of the courtroom, or if on a phone move the phone around to get the full experience

It's thrilling to anticipate the integration of VR into Court Services! In my research, I envision public services leveraging VR to guide first-time users through the process. This would also include multi-language text instructions explaining the purpose of each procedure, required documents and information from the service user, and an interactive Q&A session that would enhance user engagement and understanding.

New Post: Bullet-bending puzzler ‘Children of the Sun’ sets launch date - https://lnkd.in/g5-RR943 - Children of the Sun, an upcoming puzzle game where players are tasked with shooting numerous targets with one supernatural bullet, has set a launch date of April 9 for PC. READ MORE: ‘Fallout: New Vegas’ shaped the series into a modern shooter – for better or worse Published by Devolver Digital, this supernatural third-person shooter sees a protagonist known only as The Girl on a revenge mission to kill members of a cult who ruined her life. Players will guide the bullet once it’s been shot, carefully steering it from head to head as it kills all the cultists in each level with deadly precision. Developer René Rother explains the gameplay: “Guide through increasingly complex and challenging levels to kill cultists, trigger traps, and reshape the environment. Every shot counts and ruthless precision is rewarded.” As for the story, “as you take down the cult, one well-placed bullet at a time, you’ll learn more about the group’s shadowy past, the heinous crimes committed in the name of the Leader, and the harrowing backstory of The Girl.” A demo for Children of the Sun was released in February 2024. Players can stalk around the map, tagging cultists to better help them plan the route their bullet will take. The grimdark Americana art style and inclusion of leaderboards and high scores looks set to keep players coming back for a long time. At the time of writing, there is no word of a console release for Children of the Sun, so players will have to make do with the PC version, at least for now. In other gaming news, popular extraction shooter Helldivers 2 just got a patch that nerfs its toughest enemy. This is sure to help players fighting on the game’s highest difficulties. Persona 3 Reload DLC has also been released today; players with the expansion pass can enjoy songs from Persona 4 and 5. READ MORE: ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ review: give this game show spin-off the green light Speaking to press during a tour of the Squid Game set, Hwang shared, per Korea Herald, that the upcoming season “will feature new games and characters, as well as a deeper plot and message.” “We have been filming the second season of Squid Game since July with the interest and support of many viewers,” Hwang said, adding: “We are burdened with the pressure to do well, but we will make sure to repay viewers with a good result.” Squid Game art director Chae Kyung-sun echoed his sentiment, adding that she feels “heavy pressure to live up to expectations,” and that the art team is “working hard to realise vision and the series’ theme,” per Yonhap News Agency. At the time of publishing, Netflix has not announced a release date for season two of Squid Game. However, Hwang shared that filming will carry on into 2024. Several new cast members have been revealed for Squid Game‘s second season. We are going into an era of collaborative world building like nothing we have seen before. I have spent some time looking at generative video, 3D, architectures and games. The barriers to entry for film making, video game creation, TV creation and pretty much any visual, audio or narrative genre are coming crashing down. It’s going to be about talent, skills and exposure, with less gate keeping from sunk costs and institutions. Creatively, I see a convergence between role playing, generative VR and “reality tv” or content creators. This will also transform education. #virtualreality #metaverse #education #roleplaying #media #worldbuilding #creativity
Get ready for a new kind of game. Until 2024, the role of “reality TV producer” was a largely unexplored video game hero. The Crush House ends that trend - part satire, part love letter to the indomitable industry of reality TV, and a new twist on the “thirst person shooter.” It's not the only reality-TV-tinged title to make waves - Content Warning, a co-op horror game about filming your friends to try and go viral, pulled in more than 200,000 concurrent players after an April Fools’ Day launch. Are gaming heading for more "reality" without the need for VR? #gaming #thecrushhouse #contentwarning https://lnkd.in/eCthXnBS
