Skills Needed for a Future in Manufacturing Leadership

I have worked in the plastics manufacturing industry for decades, mostly specifying and selling equipment. In nearly every plant I visit and most installations I manage, the one thing that stands out is the need for better communication on the plant floor. I have studied leadership development, group dynamics, and human transformation for nearly as long. The communications, training, and coaching skills I have developed help me greatly not only in getting new equipment installed but also in helping build the teams of supervisors, managers, and operators it takes to make manufacturing pay. The impact of leadership on workplace quality, health, and Safety from the academic perspective. Within the study of thr doctorate degree in (specialization stage) one of my research projects was considered the leadership impact within organizations to analyze the different styles of leadership and their expected impact on the workplace environment. By the way, my score in the leadership and communication course astonished me, was 99 out of 100. As an academic course project was aiming provision of a comprehensive understanding of leadership and its impact on workplace safety and health. By examining historical and contemporary leadership theories, characteristics of effective leaders, communication, motivation, and other relevant subtopics, offering insights into how leadership can be leveraged to enhance workplace safety. It’s been years I have spent any time on certifications. After lot of hesitation enrolled in this committed program to see if I can get back on track and it’s finally paid off. All these topics and projects gave different perspective to handle situations and resources. Currently, I am matriculating in a masters program at Michigan State University for an MS in Leadership, Strategy, and Management. Fron the very first moment of my career, I have led through a strategic lens without any formal training or theoretical implications. Nevertheless, the framework in this photo helped me to fully capture thr essence of strategic formation and what it looks like. Lesson here: When there is a natural affinity for a particular thing, when it aligns, there is a purely natural synthesis that yields FIT!
