In addition, the case study reveals how a genetic counselor may grapple with the dilemma of honoring the non-directive guidelines of the profession, whilst simultaneously supporting a patient who requests advice. Exciting Update from the #GECONEU Project! On May 31, 2024, our team gathered in the beautiful city of Barcelona, Spain, for the final in-person Transnational Project meeting. This significant event marked a pivotal moment for the GECONEU project as we approach the conclusion of this incredible journey. During the meeting, we had the opportunity to reflect on our key achievements and the impactful progress we've made together on developing an online Course for University students focusing on Genetic Counseling. We also mapped out the next steps to ensure the lasting impact of our work and to continue fostering the partnerships. We are excited to carry this momentum forward!

The transnational project meeting of the #GECONEU project took place in Izmir, Turkey on December 1st! Partners gathered to discuss crucial aspects of the project, including Project Overview, PR 2: Development and design of the course and material, PR3: Design, Development, and Testing of a Service System for students' evaluation and learning, PR4: Genetic Counseling in Practice, and Project Management and Implementation. A productive session where all partners collaborated on key topics, paving the way for the next steps in this impactful venture.
