The transition from spring to summer brings a deluge of CONs, such as Stealthcon, PivotCon, and the upcoming DefCon. Most of these CONs have a decidedly Western-leaning, and you don't often don't see a representation of those from other parts of the world, so when I recently saw Shanghai's GeekCon with sponsorship by many Chinese Tech companies, I was admittedly curious.
