As COVID trends on this platform, I urge folks to keep high risk people in mind this holiday season. I normally only post journalistic accomplishments or updates on The Newsette here, but this topic is especially important to me. I developed POTS and MCAS after a COVID infection in 2022. Anyone is vulnerable to Long Covid and those who already have it, are immunocompromised, or elderly need the public's help to stay safe. Please consider masking up (in a KN95/N95), especially in essential public places like grocery stores, doctor offices, pharmacies, and the subway. Get the updated vaccine (which is not a booster) because any protection from shots before September 2023 is not sufficient. Test before and after you see folks for the holidays if you have access to rapid or PCR tests. And please, please stay home if you're under the weather. Never hurts to open a window or turn on an air purifier either. Happy Holidays!!!

https://lnkd.in/gCR5ij9R Read this article above & share. It is not a stomach bug. It is Covid. It can cause Long Covid. I was almost on a feeding tube and was seriously ill for over 7 mos until I found things to actually help me recover. I’m not the same I was prior to Covid but I’m lucky to be alive. I’m so thankful to be able to eat real food again normally. You have no idea what damage this does to your T cells. I’ve come a long way in recovery & lived to tell. Wear a good respirator and fight for clean air. Clean air is a basic human right. We need #faruvc in every public indoor building. What Covid does to your gut is worse than C Diff. C Diff is pretty serious & I actually survived that too. If you get C Diff antibiotics can save you. When it is viral non of the antivirals help this. I know, I tried. Yes I was vaccinated & boosted. In my Long Covid groups the vaccine & boosters didn’t make a difference. The only prevention is N95 or P100 masks short term till we get Far UVC in every public building. #covid #covid19pandemic #covidisairborne #covid19research #covidisnotover #covidisntover
