Sustainable Industrial Manufacturing Asia Pacific (SIM-PAC) would like to welcome Murray Hyde from PlastX as a speaker at SIM-PAC 2024. Murray is Chief Commercial Officer, Co-Founder and Asia Lead at PlastX. PlastX is digital and physical supply chain that directly addresses the market failures that thwart circularity in South and East Asia. Prior to focusing on everything Commercial, Murray was Chief Operating Officer at PlastX. Focusing primarily on the countries of ASEAN, where the need is greatest, PlastX turns waste streams into robust business opportunities - empowering marginalised workers; helping brands achieve sustainability; and helping to rid the planet of the scourge of plastic ‘waste’. A highly skilled, commercially minded advocate for sustainable business, his experience crosses industry sectors including data, marketing, food, advertising and music, across Australian, Asian and US markets. He is a communicator and fearless collaborator, and a skilled relationship-builder. Driving strategic thinking and developing the relationships that deliver sales, profits and great customer experiences are at his core. A Masters graduate of Deakin University (Contemporary Leadership) and East China University of Politics and Law - Shanghai (International Business), Murray is full of ideas, and a positive ability to make them happen. He is passionate about the world, both socially and environmentally, and is committed to creating valuable, viable circular economies. Outside of the business, Murray’s big passions are music and art, sports and cooking. In Gorenje, together with our partners, we launched the project CREDIT: Circularity and Remanufacturing-Enabling Digital Twins. We aim to significantly improve circularity and recycling, leading to a more efficient, sustainable, and socially responsible manufacturing industry. Self-sufficiency and circularity have become key elements for a sustainable and prosperous European manufacturing industry, reinforcing the need for a shift towards sustainable and resilient industrial practices. Remanufacturing plays a critical role in achieving circularity around industrial processes, and the CREDIT project addresses the challenges facing the widespread implementation of remanufacturing through an innovative human-centered approach. The project is led by the Spanish engineering company IDENER.AI and Hisense Europe will through Gorenje take on the role of one of the main demonstrators and users of the developed technologies. Project CREDIT received financing in the amount of 5.6 million euros from the EU Horizon Europe research and innovation program. We, at lignin industry, are truly disrupting the industry. For everyone out there the forests industry is super important for countries such as Sweden, Finland, USA, Brazil etc. The beauty of the forest industry is that it sucks up atmospheric CO2 when trees grows and transform into beautiful plants!There is no better carbon capture technology I know of! 😘 In order to change from fossil oil we need the biomass industry to provide us with joy and materials that can last for long time! 🌲💐 #lignin #spci #netzeroplastic
