I know this is suppose to be a funny video but all I can see are passengers evacuating the aircraft with their personal belongings! During an evacuation, every second counts. The precious moments spent searching for and collecting personal belongings can delay your exit and hinder the overall evacuation process. In a critical situation where swift action is imperative, any delay could have dire consequences. There is a reason the safety announcement states to leave all personal belongings behind! #aviation #safety #evacuation #aircraft

Situational awareness is the KEY

On of the most common damage to aircraft when pilot is not very well experienced on the aircraft type. Such a damage in metallic fuselage structure might be affecting fuselage skin (lower shell), stringers and frames as well depending on the the loads and the angle or rotation force. This type of damage in metallic fuselage structure can be temporarily repaired using a sheet metal and external stiffeners to reposition the aircraft to base where lower shell assembly can be replaced (permanent repair). On the other hand, composite structure might be difficult to determine the extend of the damage, especially tail strike. As it’s shown, the fuselage appears to have wear damage due to the contact between the fuselage and runway but no permanent deformation to the fuselage similar to what is always happens to metallic fuselage in the same condition. It would definitely takes longer time to develop temporary or permanent repair in this case. Anyone have similar experiences on B787 or A350

According to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), it was determined that during the incident involving Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 on January 5, 2024, the door plug of the left mid exit door (MED) had detached from the Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft due to the absence of four bolts. Alaska 1282: What happened to the "hidden" emergency exit door? It should be secured with 4 permanent bolts: 2 upper bolts (Left and right) and 2 lower bolts (L,R). Investigation have to clarify if one or more bolts collapsed or, if some bolts were not properly installed during the configuration phase, before the delivery. Execujet South Africa earns Rectification Interval Extension (RIE) Approval ExecuJet Aviation Group https://lnkd.in/e8wY2i4K A Rectification Interval Extension (RIE) programme allows an operator in exceptional circumstances to permit a one-time extension to a Category B, C, or D, item by 100%. This is also known as Continuing Authorization – Single Extension (CASE). RIEs are to be used to allow operators to continue to operate an aircraft after the rectification interval has expired if the rectification has not been possible. Operators may request approval for an RIE Programme by satisfying the IOMAR that sufficient control over the process exists to ensure the procedure is not abused. In order to receive approval for an RIE programme, the Operator must demonstrate that a sufficient level of control over the process will be in place to ensure the procedure is carefully managed. As the RIE Programme is an integral part of the MEL, the IOMAR expects the Flight Operations Representative to have overall control of the RIE Programme.
