You're looking absolutely amazing today 😊 Yes of course we're talking to you! This week’s Civil Service HR Casework (hosted by MoJ) Weekly Wonder is: “Give positive comments to as many people as possible today” Words go beyond their surface-level meanings. They carry an emotional charge that can uplift and inspire or bring people down. Positive and uplifting words have the incredible ability to touch people's hearts, bring joy, and create a sense of well-being. Saying something positive today could lead to: - Improved Self-Perception. - Improved Mood and Wellbeing. - Inspiration for Others. - Improved Workplace Environment What a lovely way that would be to end someone's week and get their weekend off to a great start.

🎉 Word of the Day: Limerence 🎉 Ever heard of "limerence"? No, it's not the latest office trend or a new flavor of coffee. Limerence is actually an uncommon word that describes the state of being infatuated or obsessed with another person. But before you start worrying about HR, let's put a workplace spin on it. Ever felt limerent towards your morning coffee or that one spreadsheet that you can always turn to for everything? In a world of deadlines and meetings, sometimes it's the little things that make our hearts skip a beat (or at least our coffee cups). So here's to embracing limerence in the workplace, whether it's for a project, a colleague's quirky sense of humor, or the perfect pen that somehow makes every task feel a little more exciting! #WordOfTheDay #Limerence #WorkplaceHumor #Infatuation #SpreadsheetLove #CoffeeObsession #StaySwooning 📈☕️

As a DEI practitioner, I am often asked what I do daily. What is the role like? What type of projects and initiatives do I oversee. TBH, I usually answer-- well it just depends on the day as so much can happen. But I think this chart helps to illuminate the key themes that we encounter as practitioners. Our work is not only multi-faceted, but constantly connected and in motion. DEI is never one thing.
I know people love to tell you what DEI is and often they have little clue of its actual function. One facet of DEI is outlined in the chart below. Things like providing psychological safety, work/life balance, feeling like you are valued and matter…that’s DEI too. Do your research and don’t be misguided by 30 second soundbites and a couple of tweets with no data or facts.

🃏🐇 For or against April Fool’s? 🐇🃏 Today is an annual reminder that some people play more pranks on others than some and a number of people don’t like being tricked at all. There are mixed feelings about April Fool’s jokes and whether or not they should be tolerated in the workplace and so I have considered it here: Workplace Pranks: To be Celebrated or Discouraged? https://lnkd.in/eQE76X6r #AKAVirtualAssistantBlog #Blog #AprilFoolsDay #WorkplacePranks #Tricks #Jokes #SenseOfHumour

Have you ever felt that in order to have one thing you desire, you have to sacrifice something else important to you? Is the term “work-life balance” genuinely attainable? Can we really have it all? In this blog post I talk about how I fell into that trap and years later challenged the notion. https://lnkd.in/dtbUejDs

In this week's episode I am in conversation with Portia Acheampong and we are discussing what makes a good working environment. Our thoughts - 1. A work environment with an open door policy. Wherein if one is unsure they can always ask, learn and progress. 2. An environment where everyone has emotional intelligence. The conflicts are never personal but strictly work. 3. Constructive criticism, that makes you feel led, directed, guided and never little, disrespected and not enough. 4. Leadership that gives grace, allows you to make mistakes and is considerate. 5. Pays its employees well. 6. Has a coffee station, gives useful freebies 🤣🤣 7. A work environment that is a catalyst for one's personal and career growth. According to you what makes a healthy work environment ? Happy Employment Wednesday! full video on youtube https://lnkd.in/g5k_KEcq #careers #corporate #viral #healthy #workenvironment #companyculture #workplacewellness #mentalhealth #paywell #salary #toxicworkplace #quotes #colleagues #employer

🙏 Good Friday Reflections: Navigating Workplace Dynamics with Grace 🙏 As we observe Good Friday, a day of reflection and contemplation, I'm reminded of the importance of navigating workplace dynamics with grace and integrity. Just as Good Friday is a time to reflect on forgiveness and understanding, it's crucial to approach interactions in the workplace with a similar mindset. It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of office dynamics, but taking a step back to reflect on our actions and interactions can lead to more positive and productive outcomes. In the face of challenging situations or conflicts, let's remember the lessons of Good Friday. Let's strive to approach disagreements with empathy and understanding, seeking common ground and solutions that benefit everyone involved. By embodying the spirit of forgiveness and compassion, we can create a more harmonious and supportive work environment for all. This Good Friday, let's take a moment to reflect on how we can navigate workplace dynamics with grace and humility. May we carry these values forward in all our interactions, fostering a culture of respect and collaboration in our professional lives. #GoodFriday #workplacedynamics #reflection #grace #empathy #collaboration
