Happy Wellness Wednesday! Today, we are excited to share insights from our therapists on the importance of a patient-centered approach in physical therapy. Key Elements of Patient-Centered Care: 1. Active Listening: Our therapists emphasize the importance of taking time to listen actively to patients’ concerns, goals, and lifestyles. This helps to tailor treatments to fit each patient’s unique needs. 2. Individualized Treatment Plans: We believe no two patients are the same, and their treatment shouldn’t be either. Each plan is designed to align with the specific goals and medical history of the patient. 3. Education and Empowerment: Empowering patients with knowledge about their condition and involving them in their treatment plan is essential. We provide education on exercises and self-care strategies, ensuring patients feel confident in managing their health. 4. Compassion and Support: Building a trusting relationship through compassion and support is fundamental. We strive to create a supportive environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and progress. Thank you to our amazing therapists for their commitment to providing exceptional care and making a difference in our patients’ lives. Have questions or experiences to share? Just wrapped up my morning lift, gearing up for a week of patient sessions, thinking about ways to challenge their perception of exercise and add value to each individual session. Being committed to delivering quality care and education to support each individual on their path to recovery requires a constantly changing variable in how/when one delivers this education. I will be challenging each patient today to begin an exercise program that meets them where they are in order to mitigate future health issues! How have you challenged patients to increase their autonomy and take charge of their health?? I challenge you to set an objective, attainable goal for this week—whether it's a daily exercise or a wellness habit. Let's make progress together! #PatientCare #EnergizeEmpowerElevate CACC Physical Therapy

Join us for this engaging episode of "Stand Up (for) Doctors!" Supporting doctors; offering hope! Dr Amy-Jo Farrow is an Occupational Health Physician in the U.K., and a burnout coach, helping exhausted doctors thrive. Olivia Morris is the Co-Founder and CEO of Verity Barrington and Doctors Living in Ireland, having been a physician advocate for the past 10 years. We discuss how doctors know about healthy living and what to recommend to their patients, yet they frequently do not take care of themselves in the same way. We dive into some reasons behind that, and how it's almost seen as a "badge of honor" not to take care of one's basic needs during a work shift. That is not sustainable and should not be the culture! We talk about the need to help doctors discover solutions that can be adapted for each physician's unique life. We each share a vulnerable story of how as a physician, a physician's wife, and a healthcare professional, in a time of crisis, how the notion of "the patient always come first," no matter the personal cost, took its toll. Doctors having an identity outside of their primary employment is so important, and can include building a portfolio career, exploring hobbies...whatever brings you joy and gets you energized about life! Message to doctors: Physicians need to practice radical self-compassion. Know that there are options out there, and people who can help you. Never feel like it's just you, it is not, and there is so much support available! Message to patients: If you come across a "grumpy" doctor they may be having a bad day, or missing an important family milestone to be there to care for you. Be compassionate towards another human being, it can make all the difference. Doctors AND patients need to take responsibility to restore the human connection in healthcare! This textbook and accompanying Training Programs by Graham Pennington was a game-changer for my clinical bodywork practice. It simultaneously 'simplified' my approach to achieve more 'complex' changes and understanding! This ability to assess, identify, target and resolve primary structural drivers was something that was pivotal in being able to integrate the modality of bodywork into the bigger picture. Into the overall process alongside other modalities. If you can't do that - then you're just using different therapies/modalities in isolation. Which is not our goal at the Functional Health Clinic. If you're interested in seeing how this approach could help in your goals to solve chronic health challenges then drop us a comment. If you are geographically elsewhere in the World, then let us know and we'll see if we can refer you to a Practitioner in your area 🙂 Jack *Graham Pennington. Passionate Dietitian and Pharmacist - To help people create a happy and healthy life | Bariatric dietitian | Business Owner | Entrepreneur | Food Lover
💕 Working Together for Compassionate, Patient-Centred Care ❤️ When it comes to weight management, every patient’s journey is unique. Whether they’re focused on a weight-centric approach or following the principles of Health at Every Size (HAES), our role as healthcare professionals is to provide them with the best possible support in a nurturing, non-judgmental environment. We must meet patients where they are, listen to their needs, and guide them with empathy, free from bias. Rather than debating different approaches among ourselves, let’s come together as a unified team, focusing on the well-being of those we care for. Patients deserve a safe space where their individual health goals—whether related to weight loss, weight stability, or overall health—are respected and supported. By working collaboratively, we can offer patients the tools they need to make informed decisions, empowering them to improve their health and well-being. Through compassion, understanding, and mutual respect, we create an environment that promotes healing, both physically and emotionally. Let’s stand together, fostering a culture of kindness, where the patient's needs come first, and every professional works toward a shared goal: the health and happiness of those in our care. We’re stronger as a team, and our patients will thrive when we’re united. 💛 #PatientCareFirst #UnifiedSupport #CompassionateHealthcare #NoJudgment #HAES #WeightManagement #InclusiveCare #TeamworkInHealth #EmpathyAndCare #CollaborativeCare #Nutri4life #Dietitian

The ability to inspire, influence and motivate nurses as they work together to achieve organizaiotn's goals.
A patient journey map is a powerful tool to help you identify current and potential patient touchpoints. Modern patients experience several vital touchpoints before their visit, which can be enhanced through online scheduling and form completion tools. During a patient visit, the patient experience is heavily influenced by in-person touchpoints. Even after a patient visit, there are many opportunities to continue to engage patients. One of the most significant touchpoints in the patient experience is the appointment itself, during which they experience clinicians’ bedside manner. This can make or break the patient’s trust in your practice. A good bedside manner isn’t just about being friendly and conversational. It’s also about making the time to ask about the patient’s family, personal life, and health concerns. It’s about asking questions to show that you’re genuinely listening before offering your opinion. It’s about being attentive, empathetic, and sensitive to the needs of every individual. https://lnkd.in/gFJ-Usgv
