Interesting! For the past three years, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation has made efforts toward building “a health system that achieves equitable outcomes through high-quality, affordable, and person-centered care.” This year, the Innovation Center is focusing on three areas: 1. safety-net provider participation in models to improve care for more beneficiaries 2. data collection that supports whole-person care 3. payment innovations to narrow disparities http://spr.ly/6047gl0MR #HealthEquity #Healthcare

At United Concordia Dental, we know how much oral health is essential for everyone’s total health — especially individuals insured by Medicaid who already face many barriers to care. As we look to expand and find better ways to serve our members, a group of us attended the Medicaid Health Plans of America 2024 (MHPA24) Conference — the largest annual conference of its kind devoted to Medicaid managed care. It provided the perfect space to learn about the latest industry insights and share experiences with policymakers and executives across the country. The programming covered a wide range of topics, including: using artificial intelligence to connect members to support services and care; value-based contracting to better care quality; building member trust and improving health outcomes through payer and provider partnerships; and the latest legislative priorities impacting Medicaid. It was my first #MHPA24 Conference — and it certainly won’t be my last. I’m looking forward to seeing what MHPA25 will bring.

Timely access to high-quality primary care is important for public health - but it also is all too often not equitable. That is why the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services #CMS announced a new model - making sure primary care providers in eligible Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) can treat people with Medicare using innovative, team-based, person-centered proactive care - brining high quality care closer to or into communities and into the home of patients. https://lnkd.in/eKp7TvPt

Access to affordable, reliable internet is critical as health care becomes increasingly digital. Policymakers took an important step toward improving broadband access by establishing the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), but program funding recently expired—jeopardizing this progress. ACAP urges Congress to extend ACP funding so that individuals can continue to access health care providers, supports and services.
