In this interview with Mbali Thetani on SABC News, we discuss the importance of this collaboration agreement and explore how it creates opportunities for economic growth for the events industry in both countries. One of the key elements in this agreement revolves around a commitment to standards. We are working to ensure that SANS10366, the SA national standard for safety in the events industry, becomes an AU standard that can be applied across Africa. ARSO, the African Organisation for Standardisation, is mandated to harmonise standards across the continent to facilitate trade and economic growth across the continent.
