This week, we (alongside MG OMD) launched the Up To Good Collective Fund, inviting clients and agency partners to contribute a percentage of their media spend or ad value to support climate action. The fund is in partnership with Ecologi | B Corp™, which helps businesses calculate and improve their climate impact. Last year, I had the opportunity to hear Alex Honnold, Naomi Morenzoni, Dior St. Hillaire, and Suzanne L. Singer speak to a room of executives about the Honnold Foundation's Partners' collective work and growing impact. Dior and Suzanne shared stories from impact on the ground— and all of the obstacles facing grassroots leaders on the path towards building an vibrant, thriving, community-led nonprofit. Their call to action? Unrestricted funding, capacity-building support, and amplification are all crucial building blocks to supporting emerging nonprofits and their leaders. Today, we're sharing how the Honnold Foundation's trust-based partnerships have helped leaders like Dior and Suzanne (and their organizations) thrive. Like Alex says in his opening letter: "Supporting grassroots leaders & their organizations can’t just be about a shiny story, a press release, and a check. But it’s not about micromanaging either. It’s about supporting the work, and then asking a simple question: How else can we be helpful”?
