Look at that BIG smile! It's all worth it, from being anxious and overthinking about the outcome to enjoying the process of planning and executing it. I was more excited than nervous until we started the Ice breaking activity. Based on personal experience, regardless of how well you think you know your peers, it's always fun to start off with a short ice breaking activity, like how you start your car engine and warm up before you accelerate. This is our humble Sales and Marketing team in Malaysia. They are our strikers! While planning for a cross-department team building, I had a lot of ideas in my mind, but I wanted to be more intentional in executing the activity. So, I was inspired by our recent topic of How to Build Relationship With Your Client. The egg, as you observed from the picture, represent a Client. While, the tower is seen as a strong foundation to retain a long term relationship and How we can support our client? It was an effective team-building activity and I observe collaboration while they competed to complete the mission in 10 Minutes!

So it's done! I conducted 4 days' hybrid sales negotiation workshops in a span of 5 days. I was on location in Bangkok and Singapore, and we had participants from Thailand, Vietnam Indonesia, India, Singapore, China, and Korea! And the icing on the cake was this feedback: "I would like to thank you for your great delivery of the presentation and numerous examples which make the key topics easy to grasp. Your engagement, lively discussions including multiple role plays had made this training an enjoyable experience even though it was a hybrid format. I really appreciate your flexibility and swift response to make this training a success across several countries." And this feedback made it all worthwhile! DM me if you'd like to upskill your sales team, no matter how experienced they are, to adapt to increased and relentless competition! #salestraining #salesnegotiations #salescoaching

In 2018, I took on my second Company Cleaner role, this time in Thailand —new market, new clients, and a whole new team! After nearly 10 months of hard work, we achieved incredible results: a 54% increase in sales revenue, a 162% boost in install margin, and an 88% rise in net income. So, how did we get there? It wasn’t by focusing on sales numbers alone. The real game-changer was aligning sales and operations. Here’s how we made it happen: 1️⃣ Aligned incentives/bonus plans for SVPs 2️⃣ Structured goals around install margins 3️⃣ Fostered mutual respect for challenges across sales and operations 4️⃣ Ensured the sales team knew what was needed for operational success 5️⃣ Held monthly joint team calls 6️⃣ Encouraged daily communication between SVPs from both departments By creating a unified vision and ensuring the executive team had shared incentives, we built a cohesive and supportive team. And when a team works together, success follows. Looking to align your teams for greater success? Let’s connect and share strategies on how to foster stronger collaboration between departments. #businessgrowth #scalability #businesssuccess #successmindset #CEO #team #salesteam #COO #Operations

The History of Direct Selling in Malaysia: A Journey of Growth and Trust Direct selling in Malaysia has a rich history, dating back to the 1970s. The industry began with just a few multinational companies introducing Malaysians to the concept of personalized selling and home-based product demonstrations. Over the years, the sector gained momentum, becoming a trusted avenue for entrepreneurial opportunities. By the 1980s and 1990s, direct selling evolved into a recognized industry. The establishment of the Direct Selling Association of Malaysia (DSAM) in 1978 was a milestone, promoting ethical practices and consumer trust. This was further strengthened by the Direct Sales Act 1993, ensuring fair practices and protecting both consumers and distributors. Malaysia’s multicultural society embraced direct selling for its flexibility and potential for supplemental income. The industry diversified its offerings, ranging from wellness products to household goods, appealing to a broad spectrum of the population. Today, Malaysia is a regional hub for direct selling, contributing significantly to the economy. The digital era has also transformed the industry, with e-commerce and social media enhancing reach and efficiency. As I embark on my own journey in this field, I am inspired by how direct selling continues to empower individuals, foster community spirit, and create opportunities for personal growth. Let’s celebrate this legacy and work towards an even brighter future for direct selling in Malaysia! #DirectSelling #Malaysia #Entrepreneurship #CareerChange #MLM

"𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐲 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲" Working as an Overseas Sales and Business Development Manager in South Korea was a transformative experience that significantly honed my negotiation and project delivery skills. The Korean work culture, known for its fast-paced and high-demand environment, pushed me to develop a high level of efficiency and effectiveness. One notable experience was leading a major project for a key client, where timelines were tight, and expectations were high. The Korean emphasis on precision and speed taught me to prioritize tasks efficiently and communicate clearly and assertively. The project required meticulous planning, frequent updates, and rapid decision-making. Navigating these demands helped me master the art of negotiation, ensuring all stakeholders were aligned and satisfied with the outcomes. This experience not only boosted my confidence but also equipped me with the ability to thrive under pressure, manage complex projects, and negotiate deals effectively. The lessons learned in South Korea continue to influence my professional approach and success in the global market. As I am sifting through my Tuesday, making cold calls, sending follow-up emails to my prospect, replying to LinkedIn messages, and congratulating my Boston colleague Jillian Fama as the Celtics won. 📞 🍀 🏆 I had a thought in my mind that Grandma Rosna told me when I was in Malaysia in 2022 in our 1 on 1 coffee chat. 3 Things That You Can Never Take Back: 1) The WORD after it's been said. 🗣 2) The MOMENT after it is missed. 🌟 3) The TIME after it is gone. ⌛ This resonates deeply with all of us, including me and my Grandma Rosna. I encourage you all to seize the day, make the most of your TIME, cherish every MOMENT, and choose your WORDS wisely for yourself and others. #motivation #reminder #personaldevelopment #sales #time #life #grandma ----- Follow Zaim Zamri for inspiring and relatable content to help you cultivate a more positive mindset in business and life.

Last week, we visited a key distributor in Nagoya. 🇯🇵 3 reasons why we made the effort to meet in person: 1. Face-to-face meetings build trust. 🤝 This helps us address possibilities and challenges directly, find solutions, and discuss how to better support our partners. Simple gestures go a long way. 2. Cultural understanding creates mutual respect. 🌏 Japanese cuisine is an absolute must. Spending time outside the office strengthened our relations, improving collaboration and enhanced productivity. 3. We gain valuable local insights. 📍 Our distributors often serve as the bridge between us and local brands and textile mills. They play a crucial role in introducing sustainable alternatives within their market, while their expertise helps us understand local needs and optimize logistics. Partnerships like this help us align on shared goals and bring sustainable solutions to more markets in the textile industry.

If you develop a product for Western consumer demand, would you expect it to sell in 𝐧𝐨𝐧-Western markets without adjustments? When you develop a product, you invest in design, marketing, and sales to meet the needs of your target audience. You support your distributors with incentives, listing fees, ads, and other promotional efforts to help them introduce the product. And you succeed. Then, for many, the next step is to offer the same product to a completely different audience in a foreign country — but this time without investing in the same process or even understanding the target market. As a result, distributors are expected to invest in marketing a product – that was originally developed for a different audience in a different culture. Then, competition kicks in. And you find yourself wondering why the target market is growing, but your distributors consistently underperform your expectations. 👉 Foreign markets operate just like domestic ones. You must commit to understanding, supporting, and nurturing them. Business development for Western food and beverage brands can be challenging in Japan. My mission is to help you overcome these challenges. Follow me or message me if you're ready to take the next step. 🔔 Marton | TOO International #businessdevelopment #foodandbeverage #japan

A Vietnamese national—and potential retail / shopper marketing expert in the making—Ms Phuong has became the 2nd winner and the first foreigner to ever win 7-Eleven Japan's national contest to find the company's staffer with the customer service that best represents the 7-Eleven brand and delivers for shoppers. For a bit of perspective, 7-Eleven operates 21,000+ stores in Japan so we're talking a deep talent pool. This contest was launched in 2023 as part of 7-Eleven's capability development: the focus is on motivating employees; developing staffers' interpersonal skills with shoppers; and building a customer-first business. Each person has four minutes where they demonstrate customer service skills, such as recommending products and explaining services to customers. [Phuong demonstrates how it's done from 1:00 in the video link below] Nguyen Thi Minh Duc Sebastian Turcu
