Great time today listening to Columbus Blue Jackets GM, Don Waddell, and Head Coach, Dean Evason talk about the upcoming season. The greatest takeaway was something Dean said about how he creates a culture in the locker room. He said the phrase culture can get overused and instead he focuses on the word atmosphere. No one ever asks ‘what is the atmosphere of your company’ and that is why we need to focus on that word because atmosphere is what people feel walking in the door of your company. At Doyle, we are not going to pay to have the naming rights to something, we are going to focus on how we can partner. A great partner is one who knows who you are and what you do and vice versa. Not sharing lead lists, client lists, or prospect lists…that’s not a partnership and will never be what we do at Doyle.
