John Forwood's April monthly update for unitholders of the Lowell Resources Fund is hot off the press. The fund's estimated Net Asset Value ended the month at A$52.0 million vs $49.7m at end-March which is $1.6037 v $1.5324 per unit. Some great commentary and our best performer in the portfolio was South African focused PGM group, Southern Palladium Limited. Gold exposure has crept a little higher at 44% of the fund. We picked up some Kingfisher Metals Corp. (British Columbia porphyry explorer), added to Neil Marston's Flynn Gold (Tasmania-focused gold exploration) and put some seed into Ordell Minerals (WA gold explorer). Cash has fallen to 8.6% of the fund as we deploy some of the capital released through locking in the profit in Azure Minerals Limited.

Following Completion: 1️⃣ Power Metal will transfer its holding in NBGC to Red Rock Resources plc (“RRR”) 2️⃣ RRR will deliver £250,000 in convertible loan notes with a conversion price equal to the price of any placement of new ordinary shares of RRR raising proceeds of over £200,000. Hot off the press, our CIO John Forwood's August monthly report for the Lowell Resources Fund. The fund has moved a bit further towards cash (10%) while boosting the exposure to gold to 45% to take advantage of rising #gold (and #silver) prices. Our biggest holding is Mark Zeptner's Ramelius Resources Limited while fund top performer award went to Alaskan goldie Freegold Ventures Limited (Market Cap C$365m FGV.TSX), where the share price rose 105% over July and August. The company, backed by investing legend Eric Sprott, announced drill intersections of 66m at 4.6g/t Au and 45m at 5.5g/t Au at its Golden Summit project in Alaska, 5km from the Kinross Gold Corporation Fort Knox Gold mine. The current pit-constrained primary Indicated and Inferred mineral resource at Golden Summit, using a US$1,792/oz gold price and a 0.75 g/t cut-off, is 12 (twelve) million oz @ 1.35 g/t Au. We are delighted to have hosted an investor presentation for Navarre Minerals (ASX:NML) with a select group of investors on 24th September 2024. James Gurry, NML’s Managing Director, clearly articulated the NML story and discussed how the company is repositioning itself to fully capitalise on its 305k/oz defined gold resource and an exploration target of 280K to 420K. Silver Mines Limited (ASX:SVL) (ASX:SVL, OTC:SLVMF) has closed its Share Purchase Plan (SPP), having raised $6 million before costs. The SPP attracted significant interest and followed a share placement that raised A$8 million before costs, significantly exceeding its A$2 million target. The demand for both the Placement and the SPP, highlights the strong support and loyalty of Silver Mines' shareholder base.  As a result, Silver Mines will issue 44,444,854 new fully paid ordinary shares, constituting approximately 3.04% of the company’s current issued capital.  The SPP shares are set to be issued at A$0.135 each, matching the placement share price, on March 12, 2024,.
