Dear Volunteers, You are truly appreciated always but here are a few things to take into consideration. We understand that volunteering is a selfless act but remembering, what is worth doing; is worth doing well. When on the field, do well to drop any assumed/borrowed or inborn “ajeboism”, you are out to work, you are most likely to get dirty on the field. - you need to drop your phones and do the needful. Phones can be distracting. Remember, the outreach or project is just for few hours. You can do it! There will always be time to take pictures and make videos. - if you’re a first timer, on getting to a location for an outreach, mix up with others. Ask questions, know where and how to fit in. Get involved. It’s all for impact. - DRESS APPROPRIATELY (read this over again). Thank you! Another important fact to put into consideration, - You may be visiting places that will provoke your emotions, PLEASE, control your tear glands. We understand empathy but we need to encourage those we are visiting. So no tears baby girl. Hug it out 🤗 We love you and we appreciate every second you sacrifice to make great change and impact. Volunteering has always been close to my heart, but my involvement with Girlguiding holds a special place. Here's why I dedicate my time and energy to this amazing charity. 💙 the opportunity to empower young girls. 💙 Girl Guides isn’t just about camping and cookies 🍪 ⛺ (although those are fun too!). It's about teaching girls invaluable life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience. 💙 it has introduced me to a community of like-minded, passionate individuals. 💙 one of the most gratifying aspects of my involvement is the impact we have on the girls' lives. 💙 volunteering with Girl Guides is also a journey of personal growth. It challenges me to be a better mentor, communicator, and leader. It pushes me out of my comfort zone and helps me develop new skills.. 💙 it's about spreading joy, positivity, and a can-do spirit. 💙 Girl Guides has a rich history and a legacy of empowering young women for over a century. Being part of this legacy is an honor. In conclusion, volunteering with Girl Guides is more than just giving back; it’s about being part of a positive journey for both the girls and myself.
