This year, Kick It Forward is planning to expand its program and distribute more boots than ever before and we need your help. For many, this was their first-ever pair of boots, providing them with opportunities to play and grow in ways many of us take for granted. How you can help: 1. Logistics Partners As a 100% volunteer-run organisation, logistics are our primary costs. We are seeking support to help with storage and shipping, making it more feasible to send shipments to regional areas. 2. Collect With Your Club As the new season approaches, many used boots in excellent condition will be in search of a new home. Help us to collect as many boots as possible by organising a collection drive with your club or school. We can assist you in providing all the required tools, such as email templates and social media posts, to gather boots from your members. 3. Connect us with teams and communities that need boots If you know of any teams or communities in Australia or overseas that could benefit from some boots, please refer them to us. We are also open to discussing sponsorship opportunities and other forms of support. We also need some help with running our social media accounts. For more details, you can email me at info@kickitforward.com.au or via LinkedIn DM.

finding a sponsor...Grace Moore "Identifying the right contact person to discuss a potential sponsorship can be time consuming. Once you have a list of potential sponsors that are well aligned with your community (the attendees at your event or activities), you are ready to research and approach these potential sponsors. Here are a few tips we have for identifying the decision maker approving your sponsorship offering 1. Your existing contact base Look at your existing contact base. Do they have your potential sponsors in their network? Can they help you determine the right person to approach, and can they provide an introduction for you? This is the most trusted way to get someone’s attention; it also comes at a price. If you don’t treat this referral with respect, and show appreciation to those making the introduction and those you are being introduced too, you won’t get another one. Therefore we recommend you set up a referral/thank you program, as you want these contacts to refer people again and again. It certainly cuts down on your time spent trying to find the right person. When you reach out, always confirm you have approached the right person and if not, ask them who would be the best person to follow up with. 2. LinkedIn and other social media sites This is a great resource for identifying and confirming the best contact person. It is also a great place to do some research on roles, projects and history. 3. Corporate website Websites are great for researching and identifying a corporation’s focus and goals, as well as determining the right contact. Sections to look under for this information include: Board Members, Meet the Team, Mission Statements, etc. Non-profit organisations looking for funding may want to check out the corporation’s community pages. EXTRA TIP: Don’t forget to look at the media section for press releases. They will have news on products and services they are focusing on. You will normally also find information on goals they are looking to achieve. At the end of most press releases will be a media contact. They are also a great place to start if you focus on how you can support their key goals, e.g. women in business, women with lifestyle changes, etc." she says that it's better top to bottom. start at the top of the organization and work your way down.

continuous upward sponsorship growth One of our coaches — an experienced property owner who regularly oversees millions in sponsorship — send me this “win” regarding one of our clients: (This is a different client than the one I told you about earlier in the week). It’s not the big numbers that are important… …Because once you understand the discovery process and why it works so well, you can easily get in front of bigger and bigger sponsors… It’s the continuous upward growth. - Why sit at $10k if you could go to $50k? - Why sit at $50k if you could go to $100k? - Why go to $100k if you could go to a million? Of course, if millions in sponsorship isn’t your goal, no worries. You can turn your sponsorship property into a sponsorship magnet with just a few months of focused work… and never have to worry about it again. If you don’t know how to make that happen, we’re happy to help. Just grab some time here to discuss it with my advisors. https://lnkd.in/ewXMKFqJ

FOCUS 6x’d their sponsorship This faith-based nonprofit conference 6x’d their sponsorship. https://lnkd.in/eq-2aAAa Morgan runs a conference mainly focused on college students. And, in the beginning, as they were trying to grow their sponsorship, it was definitely a struggle. “We had to ruffle a lot of red feathers internally,” she said. They kept getting hit with a lot of red tape. A lot of “No, we can’t do this, because that’s not how we’ve done it in the past, etc etc.” And as I said, they are a - Faith-based - Nonprofit - Whose audience consists of students …which many would consider a non-starter when it comes to sponsorship. “It’s impossible,” the naysayers would mutter. “No one wants to sponsor a catholic nonprofit. Companies will only sponsor us if they believe in our mission. Besides, who wants to get in front of a bunch of students? It’s impossible. IMPOSSIBLE.” SHHHHHH. No one told Morgan that. Which is why they took their conference from $350k… to $2.1m... inside our program the Sponsorship Accelerator. If they can literally 6x their sponsorship, you probably can too. Watch the video above if you want to find out how they did it. PS - And by the way… The principles we discuss above apply to ALL sponsorship properties. Faith-based, nonprofit, events & festivals, corporate, etc etc, it just doesn’t matter. Sponsorship is sponsorship. And if you want more of it, then: Watch the video. Talk to us about whether the Sponsorship Accelerator will work for you & your property here. https://lnkd.in/eDxfEHEG

I empower executive women of color to do the impossible | featured in Forbes | 15+ years in tech | former Fortune 200 director | MBA, PCC
An investor recently gave me a refreshing perspective on sponsorship. He didn’t explain sponsorship to me. He showed me. In hiring me to work with his founders, he sponsored his own people – and me. I want to recognize him for: 1️⃣ Knowing his people He found relevant support to help them leverage their existing strengths, and break through barriers to growth. 2️⃣ Respecting my process I like to make sure there’s a good coach-client fit before I take on a client. He stepped back while I did my thing. We regrouped once I had what I needed. 3️⃣ No unnecessary hoops He saw what he needed to say ‘yes’ to me as a coach, and didn’t waste time and energy asking me to prove or re-prove myself. 4️⃣ Took on the logistics himself He handled the contract and payment with me so the founders wouldn’t have to think about it. All they have to do is focus on their goals. 5️⃣ Letting me do my job He respects the confidentiality I hold with clients. He doesn’t ask how I run my sessions. His eye is on the results. Sponsorship is about more than advocacy and political influence. It involves: -Seeing talent -Believing in that talent -Giving that talent resources to thrive In this case, money was exchanged. But money is not the only way to show you see & believe. You can employ # 1-5 in so many other ways. So, leaders, who are you going to sponsor this quarter? What’s one thing you will do, to demonstrate to at least one person that you stand behind them?
