Flashback to October 2022! Who remembers the incredible Million Dollar Smiles Charity event? 🎉 REAL MG had a table, and let me tell you, tickets sold out faster than we could blink! It was an absolute honor to be a part of such a meaningful cause and to witness the generosity and compassion of our community firsthand. 💖 Together, we made a real difference for the Million Dollar Smiles Association, and that's something to be incredibly proud of! Whether it was through our presence, our support, or our contributions, each and every one of us played a role in brightening the lives of those in need.  But you know what's even more remarkable? It's the power of unity and collective action. When we come together with a shared purpose and a shared passion, there's no limit to what we can achieve. From networking and collaboration to philanthropy and advocacy, REAL MG exemplifies the strength and resilience of women supporting women.  So, let's take a moment to reflect on the impact we've made and the lives we've touched. We're kicking off EOFY early because, let's face it, this year has been a marathon for many. As winter approaches, so do many community Pride Cups, and we're determined to keep offering free education sessions for community clubs. But we can't do it alone. We need YOUR support! Did you know it costs us $500 to deliver a community LGBTIQ+ inclusion education session? These sessions support regional teams without access to other LGBTIQ+ services. Thanks to a generous donor, all donations received in the next 10 days will be MATCHED, up to the value of $5000! Double your impact by donating before March 30th. Sport strengthens mental health, it builds resilience, and it creates community cohesion. Sadly, only 6% of LGBTIQ+ individuals participate in sports due to fear of homophobia. That's why Pride Cup is here, to support teams across the country to embed inclusion in their culture, and welcome LGBTIQ+ people back into the sports they once loved. We've got BIG plans for the coming year. We'll be expanding our community grant program so more clubs can participate in a Pride Cup. Developing a new advanced training so that trans and non-binary people feel safe to play. Building relationships across multicultural communities so that all our rights are seen as connected - not in conflict. But we need your help to make it happen. The last few minutes of any sporting game can be the most critical. It's that nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat moment where everything hangs in the balance. Players dig deep, giving it their all, knowing that a single play can change everything. This is where we find ourselves now, in the final stretch of our campaign. We're sooooo close to reaching our target, and we need just another $5000 to make a monumental difference. Your support will help so many more LGBTIQ+ individuals feel safer and more accepted in the world of sports. Hello LinkedIn - reaching out with an important ask for everyone in our mission-driven world: Independent Sector and Council on Foundations have partnered to file a critical amicus brief to the Supreme Court. Right now, fundamental 1st Amendment rights are under attack, in the form of a lawsuit by the American Alliance for Equal Rights. AAER has sued the Atlanta-based Fearless Fund – led by Black women and committed to providing grants, tools, and mentorship to women of color – claiming that its program for Black female entrepreneurs is racially discriminatory.  We believe that philanthropic organizations, charitable nonprofits, and individual donors have the right to exercise their values and views through giving money and other resources, as protected by the First Amendment. That includes efforts to support historically marginalized groups. Any argument that it’s discrimination to help Black women gain opportunity in a field where they are underrepresented ignores the history of our nation. Furthermore this lawsuit threatens to discourage donors, restrict work toward equity and justice, and harm communities and causes nationwide. CSR Leaders: Does your company restrict donation matches to religious organizations? Why or why not? 👉 Did you know that 49% of the population gave to religious organizations in 2022? 👉 This category represented the most supported charitable category in the United States (29% of donations) 👉 What's the message you're sending your employees if you're excluding this category, which clearly represents the predominant charitable choice in the US? Of course, it's obvious why you have the restriction. Your company is uncomfortable being seen as endorsing any single religion. Makes sense. But have you ever considered that for many families, their church is not just where they worship, but it's also where they get the majority of their social services if they need them? Struggling to put food on the table? Your church will likely feed you. Struggling in your marriage? Your rabbi will likely serve as your counselor. Need someone to help with the kids during summers off from school? I'm sure there's a retreat they can attend. Plus, with corporate America's focus on inclusion - do you really arrive at an inclusive culture by leading with exclusion? There's a reason why we designed Groundswell the way we did. All donations on Groundswell are routed through individual donor-advised funds held by the employee. That means that all company matches are routed through these account, disassociating the company from their eventual charitable destination. Because we eliminated this affiliation, companies can expand the range of match-eligible organizations, leading to increased participation and sense of belonging among a large portion of your employee base.
