Building climate resilience in India’s rural sectors 🌾 Yesterday marked a significant step forward in our collective efforts to combat climate change and build resilience in India’s rural sectors as we co-hosted an insightful Climate Changemakers session at the headquarters of NABARD - National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development in Mumbai. The dialogue format brought together over 40 CEOs and senior leaders from diverse industries to discuss climate-resilient business practices and the crucial role of sustainable development in agriculture, water, and allied sectors. The evening featured an inspiring keynote by Mr. Shaji KV, Chairman of NABARD, who emphasised the importance of innovative strategies and cross-sector collaboration in tackling climate challenges. His insights underscored NABARD’s commitment to fostering sustainable growth and resilience in rural India. One of the highlights was the conversation between Mr. Shaji KV and Mr. Vineet Chattree, Managing Director of Svatantra Microfin Pvt. Ltd., in which they delved into strategies for building resilience to climate-related challenges and fostering partnerships that drive meaningful change.
