As the sustainability and innovation manager for Molding in Europe, I am proud to share our commitment to sustainability through the use of lifecycle assessment (LCA) for evaluating our products. 🔍 With the help of recognized specialists and our own certified method, we are able to accurately measure the impact of each of our packaging solutions in real usage scenarios. This allows us to ecodesign new solutions and provide clients with the best sustainable options. 🏭 Additionally, we analyze the environmental impact of our production facilities, processes, raw materials, and components. This enables us to identify areas where we can reduce our footprint and make more informed decisions to reach our sustainability goals. 📊 By utilizing LCA in our sustainability strategy and communication, we ensure that our claims are based on real data, avoiding any ambiguity or greenwashing. This transparency helps us build trust with our clients and stakeholders. 💡 Overall, LCA guides us in making informed choices on a daily basis and steers us towards a more sustainable future. Sustainability in manufacturing can be difficult to navigate. We are pleased to share that we were again recognized in the 2024 S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, placing us among the top 8% of companies assessed by S&P Global in 2023! To be included in the Yearbook is a testament to Amcor's leadership and performance in sustainability, as S&P Global recognized 759 companies out of the 9,400 assessed using its Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) Score methodology. Sonepar Finland has been awarded the Platinum rating for their development in sustainability in 2024 by the independent analysis company EcoVadis. Sonepar in Finland has been working with EcoVadis for some years now, to understand how best to improve the company’s impact on the planet and to teach customers how to do the same. “We reached this amazing result at Sonepar Finland with our steadfast and determined work, which we carried on with after our 2023 Gold assessment. Achieving the Platinum level is significant proof of responsible operations, and the rating is a big deal considering that only the top 1% of all assessed companies achieve it”, Logistics Director Lasse Sevonkari. “Given the fact that the EcoVadis rating system is so well-known here in Finland, the newly acquired Platinum rating gives us an upgraded opportunity to promote our commitment to sustainability and to showcase our achievement to customers and other stakeholders alike,” explained Tero Pippola, Quality & Sustainability Manager, Sonepar in Finland.
