A look at what was revealed in #Remini to change the future of the #construction_industry #Tekna_2024 - a bright future for the #ceramic, brick and #sanitary porcelain #design and production industry • Introduction Tekna International Exhibition, with the theme of presenting technologies and industrial machinery of production lines, which was recently held in Rimini, Italy, once again established its position as a leading event in the world by introducing optimal technologies in energy consumption, development paths and holding targeted business meetings. This organized event, with the presence of more than 350 exhibiting brands and visitors from more than 100 countries, marked an impressive gathering. • Focus on innovation and sustainability One of the main axes of the important event was to focus on innovation and sustainability in the industry of design, production and development of products. The participants drew a different vision of this industry by presenting forward-looking solutions in areas such as artificial intelligence, digitization, energy saving and sustainability in production. Among these innovations, we can mention furnaces with alternative energy sources, advanced and automatic production lines with optimal pollutants and applications for smart decoration. • The importance of collaborations international  Tekna once again showed the importance of international cooperation in the surface industry. More than 1,600 business meetings were held with buyers from 36 countries, which provided opportunities for cooperation and joint ventures. In the meantime, the African continent, with the strong presence of representatives from different countries, once again raised the growing importance of this global market in international forums.  • Side events and conferences  In addition to the main exhibition, various side events were also held on the sidelines of this course. The opening conference provided valuable insights about the geopolitical dynamics affecting the exports of Italian companies with the analysis of experts. On the other hand, the Decortech conference attracted a lot of attention by focusing on technologies and creativity in #decoration_design.  • A bright future not so far away  This event, focusing on education, showed a bright view of the not-so-distant years. The presence of students from various technical institutions and the holding of events with the theme of "Green jobs and skills" is a proof of the importance of investing in specialized and skilled human resources for future generations.  • Conclusion  Tekna 2024 has taken an important step towards sustainable development in this industry by presenting the latest technological achievements, creating opportunities for international communication and focusing on learning skills, which is a precursor to a huge transformation in our world. This event was a reflection of the future image of this field based on innovation, sustainability and cooperation.

Translation of the full interview ⬇️ Q: What role does your exhibition play in advancing the ceramics and stone manufacturing industries in Southeast Asia, and how do you ensure it serves as a hub for innovation, trade, and regional collaboration? Michael: ASEAN Ceramics has once again proved that it is the number one meeting place in Southeast Asia for the ceramics industry. Here today this week, we see over 300 different companies exhibits and brands that are showcasing some of the, some of the world’s leading technologies and processors when it comes to ceramics manufacturing, ceramics production. ASEAN Ceramics has played its role, bringing these people together, and it enables the industry to innovate, collaborate, work together to further enhance the industry here in South East Asia. This edition is also special because we introduce a new segment, in terms of (having) ASEAN Stone. ASEAN Stone is again bringing together the stone manufacturers, the stone producers, the quarries in order to further the technology, the advancement, the understanding of the industry here in Southeast Asia. So, the reason exhibitions such as ASEAN Ceramics (works), we are bringing the best technologies here to Southeast Asia, to Vietnam and the industry is able to collaborate and innovate to push their boundaries even further. Q: How do you envision the ceramics and stone exhibition evolving globally to address emerging industry trends, sustainability challenges, and opportunities for international collaboration? Robert: ASEAN Stone, ASEAN Ceramics, organized by Messe Munchen are (rightful) exhibitions for our industry. As 2024 draws to a close, HEXAGON reflects on a year of achievement and growth. We proudly commenced construction on ERA.Hexagon, an ambitious project setting new standards in energy efficiency and community living. We also launched the premium Someșului 15 project. We worked intensive on acquisitions, concepts and design for several project to come in the future. We also spend a lot of time on R&D activities and visiting benchmark projects across Europe, in order to improve our solutions and come with even better for future. Our participation at EXPO REAL, in Munich, where we had the chance to connect with global leaders, exchange ideas, and explore new opportunities that align with our vision at Hexagon. In collaboration with the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca’s Faculty of Constructions, we launched a strategic partnership to bridge academia and private sector innovation. At the nZEB Expo Bucuresti and Cluj, HEXAGON led the conversation on sustainable practices, with CEO Florin Mariș presenting the ERA project and hosting Carlos Moreno, the visionary behind the 15-Minute City concept. Together, we’re building a legacy for the future generations!
