GESD is proud to welcome the City of Glendale Community Services department to our GESD System of Care Center to provide community assistance services including housing support, rental assistance, home repairs and connections to additional partner programs. We’re grateful to align and amplify our partnership to ensure Glendale families are supported in one comprehensive location. #GESD40 #AllInForAllKids

GESD's Bicentennial South School and partners, CHASSE Building Team and SPS+ Architects, celebrated the grand opening of a new building on campus. The building marks the start of a new chapter in the educational journey for seventh and eighth-grade students and staff. It also created opportunities for student leaders to participate in the school's architectural design and construction process as part of Bicentennial South’s Career Technology Exploration Signature Program. Incoming kindergarten students are attending GESD’s Kindergarten Jumpstart program this week. Our newest students are learning social skills, practicing classroom, cafeteria and outdoor play routines, and gaining an educational head start for the upcoming school year. #GESD40 #AllInForAllKids #MosaicOfMinds

We are proud to announce that GESD Governing Board President Mike Martinez was elected Director of Educational Programs and GESD Director of Transportation Christian Miranda was reelected as Director of Transportation to serve on the Arizona Association of School Business Officials Executive Board.

WELCOME NEW TEACHERS! GESD hosted a "Grab, Gab, and Go" drive-thru welcome event for new teachers to kick off a week of professional learning. Teachers were greeted with cheers from Superintendent Segotta-Jones and GESD administrators. The Glendale Uniting Students, Teachers, and Others (GUSTO) Foundation sponsored breakfast burritos to go and each new teacher received a rolling cart full of classroom supplies. #GESD40 #AllInForAllKids #MosaicOfMinds

This week marked the School Nutrition Association’s Annual National Conference in Boston where our incredible Director of Food and Nutrition, Shannon Gleave RDN,SNS, was named President. Congratulations, Shannon! We couldn’t be prouder of your dedication and service to #GESD40, Arizona, and the National School Nutrition Association. Shannon’s family, GESD leadership and Food and Nutrition department staff were there to celebrate her fantastic achievement. #ANC24 #AllInForAllKids
