❌️Excessive taxation, a particularly hostile administrative environment and omnipresent bureaucracy... These are a few clichés about #FrenchBusiness environment I've heard sometimes from foreigners. As a corporate lawyer who has seen the inner workings of many French companies, I have always been convinced that the opposite is true. And I was even more convinced after participating as a speaker, on behalf of BG2V Avocats, in the webinar organized by ICLA International Commercial Law Alliance and RLS studio legale associato on the legal aspects of setting up a business throughout the world 🌎 27 corporate lawyers, including myself, were able to shortly present the local peculiarities of setting up a business in their country. As the saying goes, everything is better understood through comparison. With a corporate tax rate of up to 25%, France may not yet be a "tax haven", but is still business friendly! Here are a few reasons why: ✅️ Dematerialization of the whole process of setting up a company ✅️ No need for a notary ✅️ No apostille requirement ✅️ No need to appoint a national legal representative for a foreign director ✅️ Possibility to appoint a foreigner, whether resident in Europe or not, as a director of a French company without the need to obtain a special administrative authorization if he or she does not live in France ✅️ finally, if you opt for a simplified joint stock company (known as an "SAS"), you may enjoy a considerable flexibility in terms of management and operation, with no minimum capital requirement… ... Back in 1965, a significant stride was taken towards formalizing FEDEMAC's structure, with the original statutes being agreed upon and signed. At this historic gathering, 25 representatives from Belgium, Germany, France, and the Netherlands came together, symbolizing the initial unity and commitment to mutual support and growth. 🇧🇪🇩🇪🇫🇷🇳🇱 Despite Luxembourg's absence due to its small size and the lack of a national association, there was hope for their future involvement. Italy, eager yet constrained by the absence of a movers' association, could not sign the statutes but remained committed to establishing one. 🇱🇺🇮🇹 🤝 With Belgium, France, Germany, and the Netherlands as the founding pillars, FEDEMAC embarked on its journey.
