MR/Ensalwatta Tamil Vidyalaya is a remote school in Sri Lanka where the challenges of accessing education are palpable. Difficult terrain and limited transportation cause long and costly commutes for students, and the school lacks essential tools and resources needed for learning. Despite the many challenges families face in this region, both the students and their parents show remarkable persistence and determination in pursuing education. In August, the USAID-funded Social Cohesion and Reconciliation (SCORE) Activity launched an Information Technology center aimed at bridging the digital divide for 90 dedicated youth. Its that time of the week again where we bring you the latest happening in the tech world🤓. This week, minister of information and ICT Hon. Tatenda Mavetera announced the launch of virtual classrooms in Chivhu which marks an interesting development in the field of education. Remember long back when you didn’t feel like showing up for class or going to call the teacher . A virtual classroom enables students and teachers to interact from anywhere as long as they both have a reliable internet connection. This means that a teacher will just be one videocall away and there will be no need for the long walk to the staff room to call them. This is a great step for STEM education and we can’t wait to see what the future holds. One is for sure though, the future is TECH. Do tell us what you think of this development in regards to the education sector in Zimbabwe. And just for fun which teacher would you have preferred meeting virtually😃 than physically? #TI60 #WomeinSTEM #Zimbabwe #VirtualClassrooms #Chivhutown #education5.0 #Technology #Virtualreality #schoollife Hon Tatenda Mavetera

👉 Skoolify is changing the face of #education in #Pakistan, connecting Schools-Parents-Faculties through an Integrated #Mobileapp and Portal. Features like real-time performance updates, digital communication tools and a full-fledged dashboard of academic work manage much more making Skoolify the perfect gap-bridge between stakeholders to ensure better flow in their communications. 👉 It helps parents in gaining greater autonomy, making school operations faster and quicker for #administrators & #teachers with the increased monitoring of child activities children spend less time on screen. Which is great for what it does as far as academic achievements across the board but also reduces school teacher and staff administration. 👉 But Skoolify's quick #growth also creates a barrier to entry for smaller ed-tech companies and conventional systems that lack such comprehensive services. It could also be difficult for schools located far from cities with a poor #internet connection to take fully advantage of its function. If Skoolify scales, it needs to be solved for the masses and overcoming infrastructure disparities will no doubt play a crucial role in its success. 👉 So overall, we may say that Skoolify is redefining legacy #educational institutions in Pakistan but the equilibrium between innovation and experience as well come competition will determine its #sustainability. 4o

In effort to revamp Uganda’s quality of education, the government and concerned players should prioritize involving ICT and digital tools in teaching and learning. The enthusiasm children carry to learning when digital tools are used is very commendable. Such tools make learning fun, can quickly capture children’s attention, enhance their concentration, plus video/ recorded learning material ease memorization and understanding. We met these jolly children in Busia yesterday and their urge to watch, listen and learn from a video on YouTube about manners was very impressive. As Shine for change, we are fully aware of the great importance of Information Communications Technology and we are committed to growing its impact in Uganda’s communities and schools. What do you think should be done to make ICT and digital tools more accessible to learners? #education #ict #uganda #shineforchange

Rural communities, in particular, face significant barriers to learning, including insufficient resources, under-resourced schools, and a shortage of qualified teachers. Brainstake amidst these challenges, offers a range of innovative tech solutions designed to revolutionize teaching and learning in classrooms. Through our cutting-edge platforms and systems, we aim to empower educators, engage students, and bridge the digital divide that threatens to deepen educational inequalities.
