Our latest research shows the accommodation process in most organizations is not meeting the needs of employees. Only 24% of employees requesting an accommodation found the process easy. That means 76% found the process to be difficult. And less than half of people requesting an accommodation said they received it in a timely manner. #Accommodations #WorkplaceExperience #EmployeeEngagement Mercer | Peter Rutigliano, Ph.D. ID: A snapshot of a power point slide with a bar chart with three data points. The first shows 24% found the accommodations process easy. The second 43% received their accommodation in a timely manner, and the third 43% say their company requires medical documentation for the process.

Unfortunately many large companies have accommodation processes that are not developed by people with disabilities or properly reviewed by them. So they hit the check marks for a process only. Many organization's do not meet their own targets for hiring People With Disabilities and those they do are typically in low paying roles with little opportunity to advance to roles where they can help drive change in that organization.

I would like to know who's accountable for informing that I have a right to be accommodated for my mental disabilities?? MY employer who I worked for when I had 2 suicide attempts in 1996? EAP when I was bullied after waiting 9yrs for the position? My Dr or phycologist? May surgeon when I had a knee replacement? The mental health facility when I was baker acted? The state of Florida's career center when I was fired after being called back to work early after the knee replacement with my knee still leaking fluid and PTSD from the first job I was bullied and fired after losing my retirement and house? The STATE OF FLORIDA on my unemployment application? The disability lawyer I had? The insurance company when I worked at Bio Reference, Aetna? THIS IS WHY I AM CALLED BY GOD TO HELP OTHERS WITH A MENTAL DISABILITY AND FAILING TO DISCLOSE THEIR RIGHTS AND TO MAKE SURE THAT NO ONE WILL BE TORMENTED BY THE STATE OF FLORIDA AND THE FLORIDA HEALTHCARE SYSTEM.
