As we bid farewell to a remarkable year, Sri Ramachandra Innovation Incubation Centre is elated to share our accomplishments. In the heart of innovation, we have incubated 17 startups and nurtured 24 preincubates, fostering an ecosystem of groundbreaking ideas. The synergy of academia and entrepreneurship is evident in the success of 3 student/faculty-led startups, born from 7 faculty development programs and 15 student sensitization initiatives. Our commitment to knowledge dissemination is showcased through 32 seminars, 3 hands-on training workshops, and 8 flagship events. Collaborating seamlessly with various faculties, we co-hosted 7 events. Notably, our outreach efforts spanned 26 events, fostering connections at 16 incubation centers, leading to 15 memorandum of understanding signings with esteemed institutions, investors, and banks. In the financial realm, we facilitated connections with 16 investors, and we are indeed proud of an impressive ₹4.5 Crores in funds secured by our 18 startups and innovators. We also have a filed patent and 3 products in the pipeline undergoing clinical trials. Beyond numbers, we are thrilled to have contributed to the job market, generating over 70 employment opportunities through our startup network. We are thrilled to announce that Whale Tank 2.0 is collaborating with the Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH), Launched in 2017 as a first-of-its-kind initiative by the Government of Telangana, RICH aims to solve complex local and national challenges by facilitating collaborative networks between diverse stakeholders of the research and innovation space. Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH) is also the nodal agency for the Hyderabad Science and Technology Cluster, an initiative spearheaded by the Office of Principal Scientific Adviser to Government of India. As part of this initiative, RICH has initiated multidisciplinary projects in the areas of agriculture, nutrition, health, and waste management. These projects leverage the local expertise and strengths of Telangana, and facilitate ease of access to funding from the relevant central ministries. RICH operates in 3 major sectors: Food and Agriculture, Lifesciences, and Sustainability. The Alliance University Technology Business Incubator has received approval as a 'Host Institute' within the Incubation Scheme under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India. This significant achievement was facilitated by the Center for Research at Alliance University, which actively focuses on enhancing research activities and bringing together like-minded individuals from various disciplines, industries and backgrounds to amalgamate focused research in various areas. As per the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India (GoI), some of the activities undertaken by the Host Institutes are: • Recognition of eligible institutions as Host Institutes (HI) to serve as Business Incubators (BI) • Approval of ideas submitted by Incubatees through Host Institutes (HI) • Support for nurturing ideas provided to Host Institutes (HI) • Provision of capital support to Host Institutes (HI) for procurement of plant and machinery The goal of MSME Incubation Scheme program is to promote and support small and medium-sized businesses in exploring their innovative ideas and embracing cutting-edge technologies at the proof-of-concept stage.
