🚀 Today, GPP unveiled the Latest Insights on Global LGBTI Funding! 🌍🏳️🌈 📢 At Koppa - The LGBTI+ Economic Power Lab - we believe money is the nerve of the war. The newly released 2021–2022 Global Resources Report is here, packed with crucial data on LGBTI funding. 📊💸 Thanks to Matthew Hart and his team for their incredible work. Key Highlights: - Major Funding Increase: Global LGBTI funding skyrocketed by 57% to reach $905 million! This significant boost reflects the relentless efforts of LGBTI advocates and philanthropic supporters. 👏🎉 - Concentration of Funds: In 2021-2022, the top 20 funders contributed to 50% of all global LGBTI funding. This highlights the urgent need to diversify and expand the funding base to support broader initiatives. 💼💡 - Persistent Inequities: Despite the overall increase, funding disparities remain a significant concern. Funding has decreased in 60 countries, underscoring the need for more equitable distribution across regions and populations. 🌐💔 - Stark Comparisons: $1 bn remains a drop in the bucket. Alarmingly, just three anti-LGBTI organizations amassed over $1 billion in income, far surpassing the total funding for all LGBTI grantees. This stark contrast highlights the ongoing challenges faced by LGBTI movements. ⚖️❗ - Geographic Disparities: The report offers detailed data on funding distribution by region, issue, and population focus, providing a comprehensive view of the current landscape and identifying critical gaps and opportunities. 📌📍 Noteworthy Stats: - LGBTI funding in the USA accounted for 57% of the global total, continuing a decade-long trend. 🇺🇸 - Global LGBTI foundation funding was less than 39 cents of every $100 in overall worldwide foundation giving. 💲 - Government donor funding for LGBTI initiatives was a mere 4 cents of every $100 in international development assistance. 🌍 Let’s leverage this data to push for more inclusive and impactful funding strategies. Together, we can drive meaningful change for LGBTI communities worldwide. 🌈✊ 👉 Explore the full report: globalresourcesreport.org 🔗 Stay connected: Follow, retweet, and tag our friends at GPP on Twitter at @GPP_Updates. #LGBTIfunding #GlobalResourcesReport #Philanthropy #Advocacy #HumanRights #Equality #GlobalImpact

Impact on Girls: Malnutrition disproportionately affects girls, often due to cultural practices that result in them receiving less food and nutrients than boys. This leads to higher rates of malnutrition among female children, impacting their growth, health, and development. Addressing this gender disparity is crucial for ensuring equal opportunities and improving the well-being of all children. Focusing on the nutritional needs of girls is essential to break the cycle of malnutrition and promote gender equality. -------------- Please donate today here https://buff.ly/3R6imxs Find out how you can make a difference: https://buff.ly/3auP9MO info@joyafrica.foundation #joyafricafoundation #givejoytoday #givejoyeveryday #charity #nonprofit #donate #love #fundraising #community #support #help #volunteer #giveback #donation #fundraiser #education #dogood #children #socialgood #givingback #donations #philanthropy #hope #makeadifference #charityevent #helpingothers #nonprofitorganization #childhoodpoverty #childreninpoverty #homelesschild #streetchildren #orphans

It’s International Women’s Day and while we must celebrate our wins, including the Queensland Government recently criminalising coercive controlling behaviours 👏we need to be realistic about where we are now. We have a gender pay gap in Australia of over 20 percent and our Prime Minister recently recognised domestic violence is at epidemic levels in Australia. This morning I spoke at an International Women’s Day breakfast hosted by @Citytatts about the Women's Resilience Centre mission to help women rebuild their lives after experiencing domestic violence and trauma. If you’re in a position to donate to help us continue our work, please donate here - https://lnkd.in/g-p8jKm5 A huge thank you to City Tattersalls Club for donating the net profits from the event to support WRC. Other speakers included Sandra D'Souza author of ‘From Bias to Equality’, Victoria Smith Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion sub-committee of G100 Board of Directors, Fiona Rose CEO of Fitness Passport and Magdalena Kosior-Molloy,MCom COO of Holman Webb Lawyers - all inspiring leaders. My key takeaway? 🤷🏽♂️ leaders may not see the structural problems in their organisation that contribute to gender inequality because the system worked for them! This allows unconscious bias to perpetuate. 👂leaders need to listen to the perspectives of people within their organisation and create a space for open dialogue. 📊use data to understand the real state of play when it comes to gender equality in your organisation. 🎢 set goals and measure your organisations performance over time. Just because you can’t see the problem, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. #internationalwomensday2024
